Svechkov is absolutely a pick I would love at this point but I think his hype train is gonna lead him into the top 10 - what do you think @Joey Bones @Edge ?
His hype hasn’t been reflected in mainstream rankings just yet. I think we’ll have a much clearer picture once McKenzie releases his final rankings, hopefully soon.

We probably won't know until McKenzie releases his final rankings what a lot of teams are thinking. It's not a road map of what's going to happen, but it should at least provide a ballpark. If Svech is sitting in the 20s, the odds are lower of him sneaking into the top 10. If he's listed at 14, it means several teams could very well have him in their top 10.

Niko Huuhtanen, RW, 2nd overall.

Ivan Zhigalov, G, 7th overall.

2020 CHL import draft has more names available in this years draft:

Elite Prospects - CHL Import Draft 2020

I wonder if Huuhtanen comes over, though. 2nd overall gives a pretty good indication that he would, but he looks like he could play with Tappara fairly easily next season. We'll see what happens. Also, wouldn't mind his selection late in the draft. Zhigalov looks interesting too.

Other notables, IMO...

4. Simon Nemec to Cape Breton (2022 eligible - could be top prospect)
5. Rayan Bettahar to Swift Current (2022 eligible)
9. Filip Mesar to Kitchener (2022 eligible)
10. Louis Robin to Rimouski (2021 eligible)
20. Yegor Sidorov to Saskatoon (2022 eligible)
25. Haakon Hanelt to Gatineau (2021 eligible)
27. Vinzenz Rohrer to Ottawa (2022 eligible)
32. Joakim Kemmell to Regina (2022 eligible - top prospect)
40. Martins Lavins to Shawinigan (2021 eligible)
43. Ivan Miroshnichenko to Acadie-Bathurst (2022 eligible - could be top prospect)
44. Gabriel Szturc to Kelowna (2022 eligible)
45. Adrien Klein to Peterborough (2022 eligible)
54. Valentin Zhugin to Guelph (2023 eligible - could be top prospect)
58. Tomas Trunda to Sudbury (2023 eligible)
90. Juraj Slafkovsky to Erie (2022 eligible - top prospect)
112. Matvei Michkov to Charlottetown (2023 eligible - top prospect)
118. Oskar Olausson to Barrie (2021 eligible - top prospect)

^ These are just players that I think are or will be interesting in the future, but not sure about the commitment. Like sorry Charlottetown... Michkov ain't coming overseas for you, lolol.

It's weird, I've seen him all over the place. Inside the top 10... in the teens... in the 20's. Think there was one mock I saw that had him in the 2nd round. We'll have to see Bob's list because his input is the most realistic. I'm curious to see if Sam Cosentino is going to provide a mock or list, too.

Svechkov would be a good pick at No. 15, but I think it depends on who falls and who else is still available. I really like Chibrikov, but would Drury go that route? Unclear to me, ATM. Wallstedt, McTavish, Lucius and Raty falling could happen. So much unknown, but will be exciting to see.

This one seems a bit too good to be true for me. Svechkov went 6OA to Detroit by the way.

I assume most teams will be onto this so finding a dance partner might be difficult, but there are so many intriguing players in the 30-80 range that is really prefer multiples 2nds and 3rds instead of that 15OA.

I think he'd be a real nice addition, but I don't think he's going to have a real big impact on the game. Maybe down the line in the middle-6 department, but hard to tell right now.

What are your thoughts on Kapanen if we grab a 2nd rounder? I'd honestly be fine taking him with a late first if we had one.

3C—the reincarnation of Joel Otto. I do like my monsters. I’m thinking he’s not going to reach the 3rd round.

I have heard that Raty was trending in the right direction by the end of his season and playing more like the guy people thought he would be. For those that would know: true? I wonder if he just had a hiccup in adjusting to a men's league and had to figure out what worked before it started clicking again. If so, he really might be the guy to go after with the Ranger's pick. Man, I don't envy the choice at 15 if Svechkov, Raty, and Lucius are all sitting there. It really is a bit of a gambling tournament this year since players had limited time to play.

No, unfortunately...

With that said, I'm a firm believer that he just had a bad season. He did have flashes of what he could become this season. A skilled puck mover with a good eye for the open ice and net. Can stickhandle like a champ, too. We'll see what happens, but I think he will fall in the 1st round.

I don't think he'll fall out of the 1st, though.
