I'm sure whichever team drafts him will address it. Kind of a crazy situation given that his dad was in the limelight.

He should just change his name to Randy. That would turn a marketing nightmare into a marketing dream.

Well our 1st 3rd rounder is 65th overall so thats basically a 2nd. I think atm Kirsanov in the 1st would still widely be considered a reach. But yeah he could be gone by 65.

65th is literally the first pick of the 3rd round, lolol, by yeah I see what you mean. If anything I can see NYR moving one of those 3rds for a 2nd or they'll use their 1st rounder to move back.

I do like Kirsanov, too, but think he'll definitely be out of reach by 65th.

Before the U18 worlds, Svechkov was getting more buzz as a 20-to-40 range type of pick, but following U18s, with him being the 1C on the second-best team at the tournament, there’s more interest in him as a top-20 pick. He would make sense based on talent and the Rangers having a need for some top young center talent in their system.

@Steve Kournianos has Svechkov 12th on his board. This feels like it would make a lot of sense (and for once, it would make Steve happy)

I’ve been having way too much fun with DraftSim. Interesting to see how differently the draft plays out with the different rankings. I’ve been going completely overboard with multiple trade downs, really love how these drafts look after stacking multiple seconds and thirds.
