The Flames blocked a ton of shots, they played like their lives depended on it. Considering their position in the standings, it’s completely understandable.

Caps are going to face a lot of teams playing playoff style hockey. Good time to adapt to this fierce adversity.

I will take the blame for jinxing them by being in person at Cap One tonight ...

Thought they played well but the bounces just didn't fall. Roy needs to stop passing to the other team. Chychrun was everywhere and the third line was so unlucky not to score, they really dominated. Ovi's goal was so great, he totally gave Vladar the eyes on it.

I respect Calgary too for the effort. Even though they were getting pretty outplayed territorially they really did a great job getting in front of everything and tying up in front of the net.

Also 3 games in 4 nights. Flames were a bit of a better rested team. After scoring 8 on the Pens and 7 on the Oilers, they were facing a Flames team with a much better defense and goaltending.
