I can see Lucius slip a bit cause he had so few games played due to injury. He’s very talented. He might be there if Raty and Svechnikov are already off the board​

There are two knocks on Lucius - the injury and the skating. The latter he can't control, the second can be worked on.

But the kids hands are great. A legit, pure shooter who has the tools to beat NHL goalies.

I would be very happy if that's the case. Not a lot of players jump out at me at No. 15. Just a lot of players that could be middle-pair or bottom-pair. With Wallstedt, you'll almost guarantee yourself a cost-controlled starter while Shesty's contract demands get higher (based on play of course).

Most have to think, too... Shesty will be 26 next season...

Would seriously consider W. Already deep in defense and have a solid forward core. Time to manage cap.

While not the popular opinion of many fans, I think Wallstedt's upside coupled with this particular draft makes him an option at 15. It really depends on how the board goes.

I know one mock draft had him as a draft "steal". But of course, that probably needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

I think analytics say that faceoffs don’t drive possession.

However, and this is my analysis, they drive important f***ing goals.

We'll have to see where he goes, though. There are a lot of teams that could use a stud keeper in the top 15; DET, LA, CHI, even SEA.

Hell, I can see a scenario with Seattle trading back to grab Wallstedt and then some depth. Them and DET look like perfect trade partners.

Agree with all about if Wallstedt is at 15 you have to take him. I could see the Rangers trading the pick but would hope they keep it. There are several Center prospects that should be available with that pick. The only wing I would take a flyer on with our first is the kid from Huntington, Matt Coronato. He played off and on Center with the Chicago Steel and a scouting service I follow stated that he did not look out of place at Center.
With one of our thirds I hope we go for Jayden Gerbbe . Tough two-way Center for the Red Deer Rebels. Was hurt most of this year so he could fall as far as the fourth round.
