To follow-up on my previous post, here are some noticeable differences between CSB and Bob's sampling of scouts from a few weeks back. Some conversations I have are much, much closer to what Bob reported on. For example:
CSB has McTavish second for NA Skaters. McKenzie has him 11th overall.
Johnson is ranked third by CSB, ahead of a bunch of names that I've consistently heard as being higher on teams lists and reflected in Bob's rankings.
Guenther is ranked second by Bob, and that reflects a trend I saw where teams had him ranked significantly higher than third party observers. CSB has him sitting fifth among North American skaters.
CSB has Othmann 8th. McKenzie doesn't even have him in the top 20.
CSB has Wyatt Johnson at 16, just behind Pinelli (24th on McKenzie's list and a potential riser beyond that in talking with others). He's 52nd according to McKenzie's survey.
Colton Dach is 19, ahead of names like Dean and L'Heureux. Those guys were surveyed at 27 and 32 for McKenzie. Dach was surveyed somewhere around a third round slot.
There are always differences --- but these significant. I really can't wait to see where Bob's list goes from here.
