Looks good to me. Doesn't look small either.
I like that he seems to like going in front of the net to score dirty goals in addition to his nice shot and passing.

I don't think it has the depth of 2018, 2019 or 2020. The timing of those drafts and the Rangers re-stock was quite fortuitous.
Having said that, I don't know if this is a weak draft for certain yet. I think there's more mystery to it, but there's some intriguing options as well.
At 15, names I heard previously - Sillinger, McTavish, Raty, Bolduc, Pinelli, Chibrikov, Svechkov, Bourgault. Of those I would probably underline McTavish for the Rangers. I also would not completely rule out Wallstedt.
Sounds like he is a good compliment to the wingers we have.I like Svechkov, natural Center, good in the dot, battles allover for pucks, and his offensive game is underrated. He's also bigger than what he's being listed at.
He should definitely be in the conversation at 15, along with 5 or 6 others who have a legit chance at making it to our pick.

I always like guys with plus shots, something this team lacked until recently. I don't know if McTavish makes it to our spot. Any thoughts on his skating? I like him but I also think we need to come away with a plus skating center with our pick.
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that I think he’s going to be fair game in the teens. I’ve heard of at least several teams that are quite high on him - including our boys. If you’re looking for a guy with decently high floor and the potential to become an important middle six contributor, Svechkov is right in that conversation.
Personally I have him at least in the same debate as someone like Raty.
Yeah, i think some others may have higher potential (see: Chibrikov, Nikita) but the 2 players i've really zoned in where the Rangers pick are Svechkov & Raty. Both smart, quick Centers w/ a good defensive game, with 2C ceilings if they put things together but probably still NHLers if they don't

Best chance of any prospect in the draft of reaching "elite" status.Would jump on Wallstedt, but he will not drop that far
If by some miracle he or Wallstedt were around at 15, grab and do not think twice. For some reason, I'm seeing Brandt Clarke slide down the consensus rankings. If he is somehow available in the 10-15 range, I think I would trade up for him. Think he's the best player in this class!!
If the Rangers finish in the top 2, who do the Rangers select?

Great news if true!! Svechkov has a dominating presence on the ice. Highly underrated center option.
Energy guy that will work his ass off. Skating a non-issue, IMO.
Fastest skater in the draft, by far, is Lysell. Clarke I would say is No. 2...

How does, if at all, Svechkov compare to Anton Lundell from last year's draft? They seem to have similar scouting reports.
A little off topic, but I was watching some videos from the under 18 championships and... this kid Matvei Michkov isn't eligible until the 2023 draft? Surely he must be in consideration for 1 overall that year.
Malkin Ovechkin came to mindThat's going to be a crazy year of draft watching. Michkov/Berard will be the 2020's version of McDavid/Eichel!!
Clarke was not overly flashy or dominant at the U18s but he was still very solid, he won't fall far.
Does Lysell play any RW? I think he did at the U18'S.
I call up the Kraken and ask for their 1sts in '22 and '23 !

Lundell has legit 1C potential and would score a ton along with his defensive prowess. Svechkov seems to be more in the middle 6/bottom 6, but will have a good knack for the defensive, too.
So I guess Lundell-lit, but I think they shouldn't be compared. Svechkov, ATM, reminds me of Nichushkin...
