i'd rather give up the first next year. and wouldn't buffalo probably want that? deni's just potentially breaking into the league. they're just beginning a rebuild.

I dont think they want to start another rebuild. You cant sell your fanbase on a two-decade rebuild.

He will get a haul for Eichel no doubt but Reinhart should be moved right around this pick value if he's going tonight. Ultimately I think Eichel is moved and Reinhart will be re-signed by BUF, overpaid of course.

Dahlin was turning the corner under Granato as was Mittelstadt. They also have Cozens and Olofsson up front. They're gonna get a.haul for Eichel...add that to Power who is gonna be a top pairing minute muncher within 2 years, thats the makings of a nice team. They play in the Atlantic so they' ll be in tough for the next two seasons, but you' d hope for an upward trajectory after that point.

Would rather lose Deni than Tippett, he is the better player imo.

Good deal for both sides.
Had him at 7yrs x 9.75 mil or 8yrs x $9.25 mil.
6yrs makes sense so he can still lock in another 7yr deal when he's around 30 or so

They've got ~$11.5mil in cap space. Cap space isn't the problem with acquiring Reinhart. Not even re-signing Bennett eats that free space so if Zito is adamant on getting Stralman (and Vatrano) off from the books then Zito is trying to catch some other big fish out there.

I don't see clear cut target for that top4 LD spot, Zito probably gets creative on that one.
