Why can’t the league release the lists? Why do we have to wait for an insider to post one team every 5 minutes?

To me it seems odd that Seattle would take Driedger when they can take someone else and then agree in principle and sign him during FA, but maybe they want to make sure they get him?

Driedger is going to be sought after by a lot of teams. He's on the cheaper end financially but could still put up solid numbers as a 1A/1B starter.

This basically locks in a goalie for them and gives them plenty of time to negotiate with Driedgs. If Judge got to the UFA period I imagine multiple teams would be sending him an offer, and I don't think Seattle wants to go into free agency with only one goalie.

There's no way they take Johnson. They take Gourde or Palat but if they really want to f*** with Tampa's cap, they take Colton or Joseph.

Imo acciari being exposed is more surprising than vatrano. I wouldn't be shocked if this is Frankie's last season here. They love marchment and he brings a different element to the forward group so I like protecting him

He was a top 4 or 5 player for us in the playoffs. Vatrano was a no-show and Acciari is starting to become ineffective I think. I think we can get more out of Marchment too.

I mean that logic is a bit flawed with Duclair getting a 3x3 deal and being nowhere to be seen in the playoffs. Vatrano is a 20 goal scorer. Marchment is solid but it's at least a little surprising. 20 goal scorers don't grow on trees.

We likely lose Vatrano then. Francis will have a ton of LD to choose from and I doubt he'd take Nuti over Frank. Frank can get you 20 goals.

Unless Driedger is signed. I don’t think they’d take Price with that contract and his age but maybe for a year or 2 more he’s still a top 10 goalie.
