For??
That's a real good pick up for them at 3C/W
I would have done this for Yandle, less of a cost than I thought.Ladd + 2021 2nd, conditional 2022 2nd and 2023 3rd to ARI for no return

Tallon was a little handcuffed as Barkov, Ekblad and Huberdeau took until year 6-7 of his 10 year tenure to be in their primes and it wasn't worth it back then as you said, going up against prime CHI, LA, TB, WSH, PIT etc. We just weren't there skill/development/depth wise.
But now, it feels wide open for a team in our division. that is close to contending to make a couple big moves and push past the 1st round.
Don’t completely understand the Stralman rumor ms tbh unless we are keeping Weegar as RD. Then we have

Forsling-Weegar
Nuti-Gudas
just saw this though:
Giving Marchessault + Smith to protect PetrovicAfter the mess in 2017 we deserve having the best luck in 2021. Seattle taking a dude who was only a Panther for 1 more week is an amazing break.
We've never done it so how do we know?
If the Stralman move to ARI has any traction, that signals he's definitely adding another D for sure.
Just saying, we have the space/assets to add if need be.
I just think that Garland for Deni seems like another Erat-Forsberg trade. There will be better options if Zito really has to eject Deni from this ride.
To me it seems odd that Seattle would take Driedger when they can take someone else and then agree in principle and sign him during FA, but maybe they want to make sure they get him?
Meh, they're dealing with the same flat cap that everyone else is.To me it seems odd that Seattle would take Driedger when they can take someone else and then agree in principle and sign him during FA, but maybe they want to make sure they get him?

I don't have a strong opinion either way on Denisenko or Garland, but I think this is an odd comparison.I just think that Garland for Deni seems like another Erat-Forsberg trade. There will be better options if Zito really has to eject Deni from this ride.

but I think this is an odd comparison.
During the previous expansion draft, teams were worried Vegas would pull this and the league assured that they're keeping an eye on their communications etc. to ensure it won't happen. So I'd imagine Seattle gets the same treatment. To me it seems odd that Seattle would take Driedger when they can take someone else and then agree in principle and sign him during FA, but maybe they want to make sure they get him?
