If the Russians needed a weak ass call like that and could only score on a 5-3 then they didn’t deserve to win. They imploded and they knew it.
I love Hockey Canada more than most and I thought :

1) We were outplayed for a vast majority of the game;
2) We got LUCKY - in a big way.

Still, we won and that's okay by me. It makes up for 2011.

so, the fun starts on Monday. is Farmer Bob doing TSN hits from his retirement home up in Muskoka with a bottle of red?

when do we get our first intra squad game?

Don't know the date, but I read that all three are within the first week. The first USports game is two weeks from tomorrow.

I'm looking forward to this year's WJR's. Far more than in recent years.

The Sweden game in 2018 I thought they got outplayed in.... very rarely does a goalie win a game for Canada but I thought Hart was the reason we won that game. This past year it was pretty even.

I agree for the most part but I'd lean toward Russia being better for most of the game last year. I do think that Canada outplayed USA in 2017 though. These things happen though. Canada, like every country, wins games it should lose and loses games it should win. The team usually displays a good mentality that results in key goals late, which is nice.

I've seen a few Barron games and he's looked good, a bit better than I expected given his latest health issue. I'll be surprised if he's one of the cuts after one week.

I was there for that game in Montréal! Apart from maybe the two recent Finland eliminations the most frustrating game ever, Canada deserved to win.

On a personal note it was extra heartbreaking as a Montrealer who grew up in the states and had some of my former teammates playing for the states, and they won gold in my city against my country:(

Maybe, I thought that one was pretty close also, Sweden had more puck possession but did little with it, they weren't very dangerous. I think Russia last year was far more of a challenge but I don't think we were outplayed by much at all, they had more guys that could hurt you then Sweden though and they did.

Glad we stopped talking about Power. As busy as this thread has been, there would have been NO room. :sarcasm:

Anything from the camp?
