Just to clarify. The additional round 2 pick is from Houston, but it is the Vikings pick slot.

Ten picks and a roster which is pretty good and an okay practice squad. They absolutely should not shy from trading picks if/as needed because they won't be able to hide any significant amount of talent on a 2025 practice squad.

I'd like to see Beane bundle up our 5/6/7's this and next year and move up for some key targets this draft. He's picked 16 players the last 2 drafts. Those comp picks can be bundled together for an additional 4th. Those 2 4th's can be bundled to get into the 3rd. This is kind of video game shit we do on Madden, but it's a good opportunity for them to get a guy high on their board. It's fun playing around with the potential opportunities, especially when you're at work :DD

It would be funny if they traded the Bears 4th for someone's 3rd rounder in 2026. Since we traded our 5th last year in 2024 to the Bears to acquire their 4th this year.

Bills 5th in 2024, ends up being a 3rd in 2026. Or maybe a 2nd rounder in 2027 :D

Keep in mind that the compensatory picks are still just projections. I don't take anything for granted after what happened last year

I have no problem with clearing cap where it makes sense. My understanding, though, has always been that if you restructure today you're pushing a cap-hit further down the line and I don't support that if the player isn't in the team's longterm plans. You extend Josh. You extend Benford. You cut Von. You restructure Dawkins. All of that makes sense to me.
While true, kicking the can down the road isn't inherently a bad thing when you have Allen in his prime now. If the cap continues to go up the way it has, saving $5M now could be worth paying it as dead cap two years from now when it makes a smaller percentage of the cap. But it really has to be a case-by-case decision.
