Once we get past Montreal on Saturday, the rest of December gets tricky. 4 home games, 4 away games. Three of each should be tough, while the Blues can play down to (or below) their opponent in the remaining ones. Divisional games with Winnipeg and Dallas should give us an idea of just how firm a grasp the Blues have on that playoff spot; provided they can find some semblance of a full roster.

If he plays 10 games or is on the NHL squad for longer than 30 days he has to go through waivers.
I think the question was relative to his emergency call up status, but I expect the rules are the same regardless. As many recalls as we have had, we're probably going to need to send guys down in the order that they were recalled to avoid the need to pass through waivers. That would put Joshua and Brown as the first two forwards sent down as they have been in 6 and 5 games respectively since their recall. Depending on his timeline for return, the performance of guys like Brown and Walker might mean sending Kostin down when he returns from LTIR since he is still waivers exempt.

Joshua is waivers exempt too.

I think Brown should stay up. He's been impressive and by impressive I mean not a f***ing clown like i was expecting.

Agreed, he's been good and solid defensively and that size/skill combo intrigues me.

What the hell is our forward lineup going to look like when the team is fully healthy? I like Saad and ROR together and I'm liking the Buchy-Barbie-Vladdy line so far.

Saad-O'Rielly-Perron
Schenn-Thomas-Kyrou
Buchnevich-Barbashev-Tarasenko
Sunny-Brown-Kostin
Bozak, Joshua

So many different line combos you can do with this forward group.:amazed:

Bozak is far to valuable to have him sit.

Did Schenn look bad as a winger, I thought plans were to have him give it a solid try again this year? Or is this just temporary because lack of depth from injuries that he's slotting in at center?

I'd probably rather have Bozak in the lineup over Kostin, but they will have to rotate in all of these guys to get them in the lineup. Is Brown up on the big club to stay? I can't imagine them sending him down with the way he's been producing and obviously he wouldn't clear waivers now. That would likely mean there isn't a spot for Neal any more, though who knows if we'll ever see that fully healthy lineup.

Also have to think Tarasenko is not going anywhere any time soon with as well as the Russian line is playing.

Great team defense last night, you can see everyone is buying in and supporting each other. Forwards are getting back to help and they are getting the puck out of the zone quickly and cleanly. This is a fun team to watch right now, and it seems chemistry and morale are solid right now.

Want to be hyped about things like how well Logan Brown played, the Mikkola - Parayko pairing working, and how dominant the Russian line was.

But geez the Habs are missing like everybody at the top of their lineup. That’s ridiculous.

Then again, maybe this shows STL wins the battle of the depth chart soundly as an organization - but at least we had core pieces in the line up.

Yeah, last couple nights were fun but wings and Habs are bad. Against Florida we had to get great goaltending to avoid getting run over.

Both the Wild and Stars lost last night. Tonight, Nashville plays NYR, Colorado plays FLA and MIN travels to VGK on a b2b. The Blues need to beat the ducks tonight, this is great opportunity to create some separation as the rest of our division has a tough schedule.

If everything goes our way we could not only build a cushion but be within striking distance of the Wild.

I don’t believe in wild. They will come back to pack, methinks.
