Yes, but no need to rush him. Does more harm than good pushing kids into pro-hockey before they're ready. He didn't exactly dominate the USHL level (had a rough start) and was a 2nd round pick. Minnesota is a good school with top-tier facilities (any Big 10 football school is going to have high-end facilities, and Minnesota takes hockey seriously). It's about getting the best finished player, not rushing them to that stage.I know Knies said he is going to University but if he didn't could he play on the Marlies?

I was just more curious then anything else I really don't know anything about the kid other then his domination in the recent tournament
Wasn't really domination, he played really well, that's all.
What Raty and Hirvonen did was domination.
Well the Finns did most of their damage on the PP. Knies was more of a threat all around imo.
Hirvonen 6gms 8gls 10pts
Knies 5gms 4gls 7pts
Niemela 6gms 2gls 6pts
I'd say all 3 were pretty dominant.

Was Amirov in this thing aswell?
There was no Russian team. Amirov is also not eligible for the WJC this coming season so I doubt he would have gone anyway. Was Amirov in this thing aswell?
Also was Niemla looking good aside from production? I remember he sustained a pretty serious injury last year.

he turns 20 in OctI thought he was eligible?
Late birthday unfortunately. He was 19 in 2020 draft. If you have a late birthday, you can only attend 1 wjc post draft year.I thought he was eligible?
Oh no you didn't!!We had our Knies on the prize and capitalized!
Do you guys think Knies would’ve been selected to go to the summer showcase had there not have been 2 USA teams?
