This is something the big Devils need to work on for next season as well.Thompson gets in and with a chance to get a shot from inside the dot chooses to force a pass through the guy leaning on him and the defender on the guy he's passing to. It doesn't come close to working. Shoot it off the pads and let your mate crash the net for the rebound.
Greer is a LW and has been such all season. Zetterlund is a RW, but has played both sides. This is something the big Devils need to work on for next season as well.
I thought it was interesting looking at the lines that the Comets are using both Zetterlund and Greer on their offhand wing. Is that typical?
You got it. It's the playbook! That sounds a lot like the Devils PP. Very little movement and always looking for the perfectly telegraphed cross-ice pass that fails or gets intercepted. Backup plan is an unthreatening shot from the point.
Zetterlund should have a spot on NJ next season.
Absolutely. I think he's more or less proved himself NHL-ready this season, the question is whether his upside is a legit scoring winger (nothing crazy, but like 15-20 goals and 20+ assists) or more of a bottom-6 winger with skill.Zetterlund should have a spot on NJ next season.
