That's what I was thinking too. Barzal was a great offensive player yes you gotta play D as well but seems like his game dried up with Trotz.

Yet they made the playoffs

I hardly watched games 3-6. I just can’t get excited about a team with Danault, Moore and Lizotte as the best players. After being a fan for over 30 years, I can respect the team improving, but it doesn’t feel like anything special is building.

Pretty bad Game 7, but an overall pretty good year.

With Doughty missing half the year and all 7 playoff games, for them to have been in a 7th game to lose badly, I'm no longer making predictions. We'll see what happens next year.

There are things that need to be done though. Should be able to add to them team.

Kings had no answer for McDavid. It's obvious how badly he wanted to win this series. Worth taking the time to admire the amazing series he had against two top defensive center men. Absolutely unstoppable. Hats off to Connor McDavid.

Hats off to the Kings for getting here. They're building something here, and it's gonna be better next year. Find us another diamond in the rough, Blake. The Kings are coming.
