Great work, Todd.

Coaching equivalent of breaking your stick on the crossbar.

We've tried nothing, and now we're all out of ideas!

I absolutely agree, future seems brightest from random mid draft picks and trades and not high draft picks, you just never know. Spence is incredible.
The trade for Durzi was great as well. That kid has some good hands and grit to his game

I expect the first line to not concede almost every goal, figured that was a low bar, but when you have a franchise legend on his last legs paired with tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum, i guess shit happens
I'm much more prepared to blame coach and front office. I was kinda getting at that. We're dressing rookies as our top defenseman eating top minutes, it's tough to expect them to handle the top talent on that other team.

Our hopes (not for this week - there is no hope for that) largely rest on 3, 19 year olds, that were all born the 3rd week in August, 2022.
Quinton Byfield, Martin Chromiak and Brock Faber....except 1 may not even want to play for the Kings....

A lot of us have lamented about the lack of player development at the expense of sneaking into the playoffs, and those chickens are coming home to roost.

To pour salt into that particular wound, the Kids are learning nothing besides how to take a beating in front of a home crowd out of this series.

Have to establish culture & direction in the regular season before aiming for playoff success.

I think Clarke is more important than Brock

Nonsense. They are learning what it takes to play and win in the NHL. Nothing motivates like a good ass kicking.

That’s part of it, the other part is development and coaching. Not sure about the second part of the equation with Bluc hiring friends to oversee the prospects.
Well Blake and Luc (since they are at the top of the food chain) need to address this.

The Kings suck at getting highly drafted forwards into their NHL lineup in a time-frame consistent with other teams and similarly aged players.

Somewhere along that path there is a problem. We can argue about who deserves more of the blame between the evaluation side, the development side or the deployment side. That is for Luc and Blake to decide but I think we are at the point where someone should maybe lose a job, maybe even a volleyball buddy.

The only thing impressive about AA, are his massive brows, he's growing out even more, for the playoffs...remember when Patrick Marleau had those big bushy brows that were so massive, he finally went somewhere for outpatient surgery for brow reduction? AA needs to call Patrick on where he got his brow reduction surgery. i bet a 57 year old, retired Marleau is massively better player than AA at this moment, too. AA cannot handle a puck better than the average, 4th line ECHL player. Seriously.

Todd cannot be allowed to be coach past next season for this team to have hope, he's the worst playoff coach of all time. Somehow they STILL haven't figured out the middle of the ice is important. Looks like late-Sutter era all over again with all these crappy outside shots into a glove or stomach, while allowing open chance after open chance from right inside with no pressure

Playoff brows

0-6 at home since Game 5 against the Rangers. Outscored 24-11. Scored on first in 4 of the 6 games. Outscored 6-2 in the 1st periods. The only 2GF were when the Kings scored first. In 18 periods, they've outscored the opposition 3 times, played even 5 times, and outscored 10 times. Outscored 10-2 in the 3rd, having the lead going into the 3rd just once.

3 head coaches. 50 players. 2 goalies, but really just one. 18 defensemen. 3 D have scored a goal, and two of them were Schenn and LaDue.

Not just 0-6 at home, but 2-10 in the last 12 playoff games.

Rough run.

I’m not going to be able to sleep tonight thinking of McDavid vs a Greene/Edler pairing.
It would be a felony sexual assault.

Hard to watch, but I’d be hard pressed to turn away, out of morbid curiosity.

I look at the Avs, they had to rebuild after their glory years and how they drafted . Mckinnin ladiskov, Makar, and a very good supporting cast, Then i look at the Kings rebiuld, it is nowhere close to how the Avs have drafted and used trades and free agency. Blake has had the opportunity to draft high picks and they are nowhere near like Mckinnion. Makar and so on. Blakes high picks take a very long time to mature to NHL level. That is not the way to build a team. This teams identity is 3 years from now they will be contenders, they been saying this since what 2015, it has been 7 years already.
