I think Moore is gonna go beast mode

That's Trevor f***ing Thousand Oaks Native Moore to you.

What can be going on with Arvidsson?
Forward Viktor Arvidsson is here in Edmonton but did not participate in morning skate, though Todd McLellan said there is a “good chance” he will feature tonight in Game 1. Arvidsson missed yesterday’s practice with a “personal” designation.

Leaves middle of practice, 2 days ago.
Misses last practice.
Makes flight.
Not at morning skate, game day.
WTF?

To leave in the middle of the practice, could be something like: death in the family, but they would usually state that. (one of the few things they may actually divulge) If it's very personal....ok, but then once he makes the trip,
you'd think he would then be ok to move forward and skate game day, right?

AA must come up big.
1. playing for a contract
2. playing vs the Oil, that let him go
3. Oil probably will be more worried covering Kopi and Kempe on that line, AA must make that
work for him.

Just want a good fight. The Kings have nothing to lose and very little expectations. Obviously, this isn't the 2012 team, but Edmonton will be gripping their sticks tighter and the fear of another first-round exit could send them into an early panic if the Kings are able to put a lead together in Games 1 and 2 and come out at least tied in the series.

Edmonton would likely endure severe changes should they fall to the Kings and are ejected once again in the first round... This is a weakness that can certainly be used against them. Come out flying and hope for the best!

GKG!

I agree. He's the x-factor in the series.

The guy is capable of playing at the level of a 1st line winger. If he brings that game it will be huge for the Kings. It would give L.A. two legit top lines.

We can't win this series with only 1 or 2 functioning lines like we had most of the season.

I'm strangely calm about tonight, but maybe part of it is that I'm working and am unable to watch live. I also think seeing them win twice has kind of relieved some pressure as a fan. Against all odds with the injuries and some guys maybe not playing their best (others did pick up the slack, though), I'm proud of them for just making the playoffs. That said, I know the players aren't just happy with that. They want to do some damage. The Kings have some players that have won before and others that went deep in the playoffs, so they know what it takes to win.

Also, I'm wondering if a player has ever announced that they will be retiring after the playoffs and then won the Cup. If not, I hope the Kings set one more playoff record.

I'm convinced he has the runs

We all know the odds aren't in our favor. But that doesn't stop everyone around here from getting their hopes up.

I'm expecting a close loss.

If we win it's all gravy.

lmao, your avatar

First 5-10 minutes will be key. Edmonton has not played a playoff game in front of a normal home crowd in 5 years, the crowds is going to be nuts and the Kings will have to weather the storm.

For those who think Kopitar (and Danault) play to much, you may not like what you see tonight, my guess is they will play a ton in the games in EDM.

8PM Edmonton start time? Oof, that seems a bit brutal....is the NHL saying there's potentially more money to be made broadcasting the first round to the King's preferable time frame vs Edmonton's?
