We are heavily critical of Durzi but give Byfield the benefit of doubt when he’s done nothing? At least Durzi is playing really well for his limited amount of games

I wouldn’t say that it’s being “heavily critical” to say Durzi isn’t as good defensively as a guaranteed HOF defenseman.

Durzi is 4 years older, has a little more professional hockey under his belt, and has stepped up big time this year with the revolving door of defensemen having to step in this year.

Byfield is 19, still trying to find his own. There's plenty of people criticizing his play so far, but also saying he needs time to find where he fits in with this team isn't wrong either. Don't think anyone is giving him a pass though. Just as I don't think people are being overly critical of Durzi.

We just won 3-0 but I guess people just need something to complain about.

Not complaining. Just think it’s weird how much rope a second overall pick gets and shows very little reasons why he’s drafted second overall. But yes Durzi is awesome for a rookie for his draft position as well

Durzi will be a 50 point defenseman in the NHL.
