When it's for a year or two, and you have the cap space/hopeful key players on ELCs, I still don't see it as much as a liability.

I understand your point in general, I just don't see it's too much of a factor in this case.

I won't make too much more of it, but the salary figure matters. AA gets paid almost twice as much as Trevor Moore who was a revelation last season and has lapped AA multiple times over this season. That salary figure says top 9 is the expectation and not healthy scratch if he gets beat out. That salary equates a longer leash and it's what we're seeing.

Refs are setting a tone. Ducks keep pushing it with the goalie stuff. Both calls I'm fine with if they went against LA. You've got to try harder to not hit the goalie.
