Blake had a good offseason, but re-signing AA was a major mistake. Many here were like WTF especially after securing Danault. 3 for 4 is pretty good with VA, PD and Edler. Sucks so bad that Edler got hurt.

With COVID and injuries, it isn't totally out of left field to want extra depth. It just clearly hasn't worked out. Let's stop trying to force it.

would love to see him in front of the net on PP1 or PP2. Yes, I said PP1. He's nails and can finish. Tough to handle. But PP2 over 23, for certain.
I recall some Toronto fans dropped in here after the Muzzin trade and said you got a good one in Grundstrom.. guess they were 100% right.. and Durzi and Bjornfoot... nice motherlode

I would just like to see him given that chance.

Far too often he has been sat out for weeks at a time while he was plsying really well.

I agree. I have no issue with re-signing Athanasiou. I wouldn't even mind if he was kept for depth reasons next year.

But when a line isn't working, you HAVE to be able to adjust.

He makes 1 awesome player every 4 games.

That’s why I was hoping he didn’t come back. Seemed to be more of a liability than an asset. He chipped in offensively, but he’s one of those players Dean Lombardi always lamented about, a player who is productive on bad teams because he had zero responsibilities.
