Thanks for the update glad to hear they fought through this game with a win. Not going to lie I know we were playing our third road game and against a team missing 8 or 9 regulars but would have been disappointed if we lost. Onto Winnipeg just hoping for a good showing is all I can ask for they've been playing pretty well.
I feel like this is a little misleading because the replacements are arguably better players even if less experienced. They still had their best players in Stutzle, Tkachuk, Chabot, Batherson, and Norris and got to bring up premium talent in Thomson and Sokolov and, much like Clague, finally give Brannstrom some time. Remember, they're very much in teh same situation we are where they have crazy good farm system knocking on the door so if someone goes out, real talent also comes in. Oh no, they lost Holden, our perpetual bitch Mete. I do feel for them losing Connor Brown, Formenton, Zaitsev. Guess what? We're missing Drew f***ing Doughty, our Stutzle, half of our middle six and several guys who have played top six. f*** anyone crying about their 'covid list' for a week, many of our guys are out for
months. We lost both our PP QBs at the same time, one for months, one for the season

I'm not going to give much sympathy out for 'injury games' when our literal key players coming into the year are out until 2022.
We have the above issues, played 3 of 4 on the road in several time zones and against a fresh team playing not-to-lose hockey and gutted out a victory. They aren't all going to be picassos. Sometimes it's nice to see they can just reach down and will it out.
Funny enough I think the Cup-era Kings lose that game.
