GDT: 2021-22 season game 14 LA Kings vs Ottawa Senators @4:00pm 11/11/21

Monster game by Mikey Anderson.

Loved his spots he chose to jump into the offensive zone.

Both him and Toby’s game is really rounding out in the NHL.

Think this is a game we would've lost last year. Maybe not at their best on attack, but their defense tonight was on a lockdown and Quick again with another great performance. The defense has been the one that's been carrying the weight of this win streak

Is it noticeably different from last year with Danault out there now?

Night and Day. Look at it like this. Kings sent Kopitar out there with the empty net with about a little less than 2 minutes out there to help kill off the game. Kings clear and get a change and now you have Danault coming over the boards with 55 seconds left. Imagine having 2 selke caliber centers one when trying to come tie the game. That's just one example and we can point to many different parts of this win streak where Danault made a difference either offensively or defensively.

Is Carrlyn bathe attractive or just interesting looking. Can't tell
She's attractive. And a really sweet person, too. My wife & I used to hang out with her and Nikki, when Nikki was on the ice girls (and on the cover the of the calendar). We played hockey with them a few times, too. I think she got engaged or married recently. Can't remember which.

And now back to the game...

I didnt notice anyone say anything like that tonight. Just folks pointing out some things they saw that could be tweaked no big deal.

Also quick and gibson should be 2 of the goalies on team usa. Quicks a proven winner and hes looking sharp

I'm being facetious. I'm sure it's no BFD. Glad Kings shut them up at least for a game. LOL.

In order to win 7 in row you have to catch some breaks. I thought we were very lucky tonight.

This winning streak is running on fumes. It will likely end in Winnipeg.

Happy for Quick. We're getting great goaltending recently.

The way Lemieux and Andersson have worked out, maybe we should be working on getting Kravtsov...

Lemieux just doing everything right. What a player.

Edler was absolutely magnificent tonight. I don't remember him being such a dick but maybe that's because we used to be the ones doing the manhandling.

Gassed team guts out 3 in 4, earlier this year we would have lost that game by not scoring a 2nd goal and letting them tie with 20 seconds left . important points going into a weirdass 330 pm game in Winterpeg, 4 in 6, RIP.

Good minutes spread tonight hopefully will help a little with that

Jonathan Quick...what else needs to be said? HE's in full form right now, seeing and reading everything. He's unstoppable when he's that dialed in.

Anderson and Bjornfot were monsters and look at those minutes.

Clague...I really hope I'm wrong and the org keeps im around after this but i get the feeling he gets moved for a 2nd or some shit because grudges. Oddly, somehow him and Maatta work.

Kaliyev with some sexy little plays both offensively and defensively.

Oh, and I've finally realized who Maatta reminds me of

Didn’t see the game - drinking in San Diego. Glad we won. Kings now on to somewhere else in Canada for the next game. Me on to beer #?

I'm happy for the streak. I would like to see the blueliners more dangerous offensively. Today was a good sign from Anderson.

Bjornfot and Clague have had good looks, too... but holy crap. How do the Kings have 1 goal in 14 games between all their blueliners?

Also, sneaking up - Clague is now second on the team in defensive scoring, with 5 points. Doughty still leads in this category, despite playing in just 4 games.

When Arvidsson comes back the lines should be something like this:

Iafallo-Danault-AA
Arvidsson-Kopitar-Kempe
Moore/Grundy-Kupari-Kaliyev
Lemieux-Lizzote-Brown

Vilardi in Ontario

I broke down and got ESPN on Roku. Great D tonight. Wanted to see Brownies hit just before the game ended where he knocked someone to center ice. I forgot how great it was to have an actual 2nd line. It has been so long. It was like dating a normal girl after a crazy one for way too long and going "oh yeah", I forgot what that was like. She's not gonna try to choke me when I leave. I can just..... leave......"

Roy was absolutely perfect in his zone tonight. Actually, all six defenseman including the whipping post Maatta were excellent.

With the outside speed generated by the wings we aren't seeing the negative effects of the lack of blueline scoring. If they need it, they likely won't get it.

Kopitar had his best game of the trip, Quick has had two excellent starts in a row. But the forward group as a whole aside from Lemieux looked half gassed. They have three bodies available, they better use them in Winnipeg or the streak is in serious jeopardy.

I'd like to see Gabe rotated with Kupari once he returns to see if it clicks, that third line has stagnated a bit. I think that move would be good for Brown, too. He's not playing well as he's capable of, and that might help him simplify and get his game back on track. I doubt Gabe gets sent down before Tynan, especially with Lias out for the immediate future and prone to injury lately.

Obviously this wouldn't happen until later in the year, but send Vilardi and Kempe to Nashville for Forsberg...

Forsberg - Kopitar - Arvidsson
Iafallo - Danault - Athanasiou
Moore - Byfield - Kaliyev
Lemieux - Lizotte - Andersson
Brown, Grundstrom
