I'd like to see Gabe rotated with Kupari once he returns to see if it clicks, that third line has stagnated a bit. I think that move would be good for Brown, too. He's not playing well as he's capable of, and that might help him simplify and get his game back on track. I doubt Gabe gets sent down before Tynan, especially with Lias out for the immediate future and prone to injury lately.

I don't think you can put Gabe in that spot.

He was 37.3% on face offs. Had a team worst -5, and also had an atrocious CF% of 38.2

You can't just hand someone a spot who's been that bad. That's not NHL level play. He's waiver exempt and needs to be sent down so he can work on his game.

She's attractive. And a really sweet person, too. My wife & I used to hang out with her and Nikki, when Nikki was on the ice girls (and on the cover the of the calendar). We played hockey with them a few times, too. I think she got engaged or married recently. Can't remember which.

The 4th line has played well. It's made up of 3 complimentary elements: a jerk, a spark plug and a scorer.

The 3rd line is lacking something. I can't quite put my finger on it. Moore hasn't played nearly as well as he did last year.

The 2nd line has been great.

The 1st line always looks tired and slow.

I remember thinking during the third period that I haven't heard this guy's name the entire game, but I knew I saw no. 12 out there skating sometime in the first two periods. This guy is having a terrible start to the year. He needs to step it up. Maybe he only plays well in front of no fans, as he did last year.

If he didn't have such a dominant preseason, I would agree. I don't think slotting him on the 3rd line wing is handing him anything, it's not like Moore is doing much either. Vilardi has a much higher ceiling, it makes sense to try and get him going. Knowing Gabe he's hitting it hard while on protocol and he's probably pissed at his own play, so I'd at least give it a look to see what happens before shipping him down.
