I'm not that uptight about broadcasting crews. I mean I don't need one when I'm watching the game at the arena. I just need some stats here and there and them to not be offensive. Agreed. I was going to bring up the manningcast on MNF. So much more entertaining and more inside baseball being talked than on the original broadcast.

I hate to say this but I haven't missed Doughty one bit. It gives use a good look on what we got back there in Mikey and Tobi, and so far they are playing above expectations. We get to see Clague (both good and bad) but progress nevertheless. Roy's still not himself yet but improving.

Last year it was a dumpster fire in our zone. At least we can get the puck out quick this year and not play take away for 3 minutes in our zone. I hope it continues but like an old wise man once said "it is not about if you win or lose but if your winning or losing".

Some of my favorites...Clauge made a couple of soft plays but you can handle those when he's making plays like the one to Brown that he flubbed. Dude brings a different look and we need that.

Props to Lizotte, he played his role to a T tonight.

Lemieux...deserved more minutes.

Kupari showing well even when not on the scoresheet, that should keep him in the NHL. He just has more 'presence' and purpose now, it's awesome to see. And he has all the tools, as well, just flying around out there, good prototypical size, etc.

Kopitar 23 min again. Great management TM. Played more than anyone but Matt Roy. Dude's gonna be toast by game 40, mark it.

PP was an absolute embarrassment again, the Kaliyev goal could have been any non-PP faceoff really.

That last minute defense...come on guys.

Sloppy game but way to gut it out...but that has the feel of the last game of a winning streak.

Kopitar's line had two two plus minute shifts where they couldn't get the puck out to save their lives, so I imagine that inflated those numbers a bit more than they had been planned.

Lemieux and Lizotte have been absolutely perfect 4th liners, constantly changing momentum, drawing calls, you can't ask for more.

Roy has been outstanding on this home stand and was well deserving of the 2nd star. Plus he picked up his 2nd PP assist of the week. He and Clague have been fine at the point in lieu of Doughty, but the forward mix is all wrong.

God, I can wait til Byfield and Turcotte are bringing the same kind of enthusiasm and directness of Kupari and Kaliyev. With Clarke sering everything a pass before it happens, this moribund PP is going to be forgotten about easily.

Couldn't watch most of the game, but when I saw saw that save on Brown, I knew this place would go ballistic. Guess what , sometimes the goalie make the save he shouldn't . Blackwood went full Quick there. How many times have we seen Quick do that to the best scorers in the league?

I was rewatching the play where subban shoved Iafollo into the net, shouldn't that have been a penalty shot or at least a penalty? It was was a foul from behind, right? I've seen Doughty do the same thing more than once and get called every time.

Kings are 4-0 since I shifted my allegiances back to LA 100%. I mostly faded from my Kings following towards my hometown team after about 2014 (recent cover ups have moved me back to Kings). I feel like a good luck charm right now...

It's only a penalty shot if he committed an infraction on a clear-cut breakaway.

- led with his forearm
- didn't hit high or trip (hit him in the hip)
- didn't blindside him
- didn't push Iafallo into his goalie (Petersen)

These GDT’s are just one long bitch fest, they are entertaining in their own right. I genuinely think some of you won’t know what to do if we get genuinely good and can’t complain incessantly… perhaps start following the Ducks?

Whilst I get we all wish Kempe would score more the stuff he does well is always overlooked by everyone. He’s part of a monster play driving line, has been forechecking brilliantly and plays a big part in setting the tone and tempo. Then some of the plays, like the pass to Edler on the point midway through the 2nd just get overlooked completely. If Danault had made that play everyone would be getting over excited and looking for tissues.

I guess it’s a year of him and Brown being the guys everyone rags on (I was about to say ‘whipping boys’, but it just occurred to me where that phrase comes from ). I’m not absolving him of his deficiencies but he brings plenty to the party and is producing the results.

I’m fine with Arty being eased in. Him scoring doesn’t mean he’s being misused, as I’ve said before it seems to me that he’s being used correctly. His responsibility should be increased gradually over time and this is definitely the season to do that.

As for AA, I still don’t get it in terms of where he fits because with everyone fit he should be playing. The depth argument doesn’t make hold up to me simply because they are so stacked in Ontario we can easily deal with an injury crisis. I guess it’s not the end of the world, my biggest issue with it is the cap implications.

I thought that hit on Mercer was a perfect response, intentional or not, to Kaliyev and then Lizzotte getting detonated by big hits. Little out of character from Kopitar but nice to see.
