Buffalo Bills The offseason begins

Reminder: Bills host both KC and PHI in 2025.

Wouldn’t be surprised if one of those two is Bills the home opener. Could see PHI WAS as Thursday night opener and. KC BUF as MNF opener.
I think Buffalo/Baltimore could be the opening SNF game. Think they'll keep Bills/Chiefs for mid-season, possibly again on CBS if they put their annual request in for that game.

Never forget the #1 reason cited by Josh Allen MVP voters this year is that he did it with a lot less help.

Get to f***ing work Brandon Beane

It's going to be hilarious when the Bills run it back on offense and once again have one of the league's best units while you spend your time shitting on McDermott in the NFL thread because you can't show your face here because of how wrong you were. Again.

You might even make another HOF worthy post about how the Bills lack of receiver production was killing them 3 offensive plays into the season again.

I think the superbowl, even though we weren't in it, be a measuring stick for the state of the roster. I don't think we were beating the Eagles. Our defense just isn't good enough as is. And we need one more weapon on offense (or Keon needs to take a BIG step next year)

The Eagles whomped the Ravens, in Baltimore, a team that we barely beat in Buffalo.

The Eagles whomped the Chiefs in the super bowl by dominating their offensive line.

I don't think we get blown out like the Chiefs did tonight. But, I think there are some significant mismatches they could create.

It's going to be difficult to do, but, need to get to work in earnest this summer. Every year for the next 5 years has to be all in.

That was extremely cathartic.

Hoping the defensive coaching additions are a sign the front office and coaching staff are willing to evolve there, especially in how they scout/coach for the DL. Gotta get game-wreckers there (please for once can we add some serious beef to the interior DL) but they also need more athleticism in the defense in general. Jimmies and Joes>>>Xs and Os

They’ve been missing the John Brown skillset on the outside since he left

It makes me f***ing sick that whenever the Chiefs play us they play perfect, have all the calls in their favor and every bounce go in their favor. It really is frustrating knowing that we will never get past them.

The Eagles did what nobody did all year: put their foot on the gas and never let off. That’s how you take the refs out of the game, and make the Chiefs one dimensional.

Tampa Bay did it a few years back as well.

It would all come down to how the Bills OL could hold up against that Eagles DL that is full of monsters, especially their two top 15 overall DTs.

I wouldn't have been too worried about the Bills defense making enough plays given what I saw last night.

The key would be giving Josh enough time so that he wasn't rushed into turning the ball over like Mahomes was.

This game, like so many playoff games, was won in the trenches and in the turnover battle.

The Chiefs did a good job limiting Saquon and they were good on 3rd & 4th down (Philly was 3/12 on 3rd down and 0/1 on 4th down). But, they lost the turnover battle 3 to 1 and the Time of Possession battle 36:58-23:02.

The Chiefs only gave up one long, sustained TD drive. And that was the start of the game.

After that, it was the 2 play, 14 yard drive after the INT late in the 2nd quarter and the 1 play 46 yard drive with the big pass play to Smith.

The Eagles had 3 long, time consuming drives that stalled out and ended in FGs. Those three drives had over 16 minutes in time of possession.

I think it was crazy how dominant the Eagles defense was. The fact that this game was 40-6 with 5 minutes to go is insane.

I mean, the Chiefs team is designed to win close games by keeping the ball.

It was a pretty terribly called game by the offensive coordinator for the Chiefs. I am pretty sure this was a 'Trying to be the smartest guy in the room' f*** up by them. They came out pass, pass, pass as a tendency breaker to try to catch the eagles off guard. And the offensive/defensive line mismatch just ate them up. The pick six was really the end of the game. They simply don't have the horses for a big comeback against a good defense.

Also, it should be noted that they basically put everything they had into beating the bills in the AFCCG. Basically an entirely new playbook.

I think they tried the same thing against the Eagles and they simply didn't have time to make anything work and they didn't know the playbook well enough for the 2nd/3rd reads to be reliable. The eagles made them one dimensional in the second half and they don't have the O-line or Skill players to make it work anymore.

The Chiefs still have an elite defense....the offense just imploded.

Keon Coleman had one catch last week
I'll take Keon alone over Xavier worthy all day long as McKenzie had good games I don't know how many over 30 yard passes both picks have..

And I'll definitely take Bishop and Keon as they were both good as rookies I'd rather play against worthy than Keon

these threads on other board exhausting , not you man

I mean, yes and no. They were the beneficiaries of repeated turnovers and bad plays by the chiefs.

Their offense in the first half had 170 yards, and three scoring drives (one of which was a 15 yard drive). Half of their possessions were punts or turnovers. But their offense stepped on the gas in the second half once it was a 24 point lead.

Like any blowout in the NFL, it was a bit of an anomaly and you can’t take much from it
