1) Todd rolled through the lines much of the game, and because of it the Kings were the better fresher team down the stretch.

2) Kings won despite the top line being ineffective. Secondary scoring won the game.

Neither of these two things could happen in previous seasons. IMO, this game represented a clear difference between this year's team, and what we've had in previous seasons.

I only got to watch the third (plus the OT and SO, of course) but I loved Kempe's power move to the net even though it didn't work out. I know he's a favorite to shit on, but who else even tries that on the current roster?

Overall a strong game against a great opponent, even though they failed to clinch it in regulation.

Good effort and good result, the team’s momentum should carry in to Friday’s game.

Peeps freaking out from results oriented thinking. Kings are one of the top.posession teams in the league while missing their top two defensemen. We're rolling lines all 4 deep, and overall winning the possession game. The two goals scored were a PP goal and funky bounce at the end.

From a stats point of view and eye test point of view, the team is FINE.

What?? Quick is the only reason Blues got a point - 2 goals because he can't hold on to rebounds and Schenn whiffed on his shootout attempt. I'm not a Quick hater but Kings won despite Quick's inept goaltending.

I understand why people get frustrated with him; he'll have some open space then pass the the puck right into a dman's skates.

But he also buzzes around and flashes his skill. There's a reason why you always notice him. He's part of one of the best possession lines in hockey right now.

People just need to accept he's a good middle 6 forward, but obviously imperfect. I think he'll round out his game.

TMac isn't helping by constantly putting him in situations he has no business being in. Particularly being on the 1st PP. Especially on a 4 on 3.

Oddly enough I think Maatta wasn't too bad tonight all things considered, I think Anderson had the worst night on D tonight and it wasn't even that bad.

Someone mentioned Iafallo was Justin Williams-lite and I agree. Just a really good possession player with sneaky good skating and skill. If he had JWill's shot oh boy. AI's shot is good enough though to warrant top 6 minutes on any team. To think he was a college UFA signing.
