They will look to veteran leadership in Patrick Moynihan ’23, Jaxson Stauber, and Parker Ford ’23.

Shlaine showed some improvements over the year, but still has not displayed enough ability to be much more than an AHL bottom 6 guy in my opinion. I'm not certain why he would transfer from a program where he had a chance to play a top 6 role, because I can't see him on a top 6 for most NCAA teams.

He was a UMass commit before he decided to go to UConn.

Damn it! Just realized the Zohan is stuck in Russia. I’m driving my Yugo to the Estonian border, right up to St. Petersburg with the trunk empty. Who’s with me and do you speak Russian?

No one has signed Matt Galajda yet. I wonder if he's option B for teams that miss out on Dryden McKay.

Watched Galajda a few times when he was at Cornell and a couple times this year for Notre Dame, not sure if he'll be getting an ELC if Strauss Mann couldn't land one last year. There's been a flurry of goalie signings in the last couple of weeks, so there will be limited landing spots.

Projected AHL combos:

Anaheim: Dostal/Eriksson-Ek/Clang?
Calgary: Wolf/Parsons?
Edmonton: Skinner/Konovalov/Fanti
Los Angeles: Villalta/Ingham/Hrenak
San Jose: ? / Sawchenko / Emond
Seattle: Daccord / ?
Vancouver: DiPietro / Silovs
Vegas: Thompson/Patera/Saville

Arizona: Prosvetov/Korenar?/Tendeck
Chicago: Soderblom/Morris/Stauber
Colorado: Annunen/Miner
Dallas: Scheel/Poirier
Minnesota: Jones/Baribeau
Nashville: Ingram/Vomacka
St. Louis: Hofer/Ellis/Cranley
Winnipeg: Berdin/Holm

Boston: Keyser/Bussi
Buffalo: Luukkonen/ ? (maybe Levi/Portillo turn pro)
Detroit: Cossa/ ? (Bednar/Eliasson unsigned)
Florida: Fitzpatrick? / Guzda
Montreal: Montembeault? / Primeau
Ottawa: Gustavsson/Sogaard/Mandolese
Tampa Bay: Melnichuk/Miftakhov/Alnefelt
Toronto: Kallgren? / Woll / Scott?

Carolina: Kochetkov/Makiniemi/Warm
Columbus: Tarasov? / Greaves
New Jersey: Daws/Schmid
NY Rangers: Wall/Garand
NY Islanders: Skarek/?
Philadelphia: Ersson/Ustimenko
Pittsburgh: Lindberg/Gauthier
Washington: Fucale/Stevenson/Shepard

Mix in the NHL bubble guys / proven AHL vets who might need landing spots: Malcolm Subban, Keith Kinkaid, Spencer Martin, Calvin Pickard, Garret Sparks, Andrew Hammond, Troy Grosenick, Zane McIntyre, Louis Domingue, etc.

The Hockey News Future Watch available on Zinio ($3 through the app, $6 through the website). Odd thing is that they only surveyed six scouts for their list this year. I remember back in 2008, they used to have 20+. For your tire pumping needs, they have Hughes (#10), Holtz (#13), Mukhamadullin (#50). Stillman (#87), Foote (#97).

Polling was conducted by having six scouts return a list of their top 60 prospects league wide. Then the top 10 is provided by the team / beat reporter. In past years, we've seen a team purposely leave an unsigned prospect unranked (Islanders with Casey Cizikas / Kevin Poulin) for PR reasons. So don't be up in arms about Gritsyuk not being listed, sometimes a team doesn't want to give a player's agent too much leverage. Our top 10 in the magazine:

1. Hughes
2. Holtz
3. Mukhamadullin
4. Stillman
5. Foote
6. Bahl
7. Daws
8. Schmid
9. Malek
10. Clarke

I'd expect Gritsyuk to be 3 ahead of Mukhamdullin at this point. I'd also have expected Daws to be fourth on the list given his relatively solid NHL showing for a young first year pro.

Yeah sometimes the individual team's top 10s can be head scratchers. Just noticed that Jack McBain was #8 on Minnesota's and they already traded hm before this issue hit newsstands.

Since he is transferring, is there some NCAA regulation requiring him to sit out a season or something? I don't follow college football that closely, but I seem to remember something like that for their transfers.
I think they did away with that stuff, but I could be wrong.

That's all gone now, otherwise no way the Devils would have two players transferring (Artem Shlaine is going to Northern Michigan also)

All players are now given the ability for a one-time transfer, without the requirement of having to sit out one season.
