New Jersey Devils Prospect Update: 3/29/22
This week’s update features a duo of Devils prospects heading to the Frozen Four, the singing of Brian Halonen from Michigan Tech, and Arseni Gritsyuk continuing to star in the playoffs for Avangard.www.allaboutthejersey.com
He was a UMass commit before he decided to go to UConn.Shlaine showed some improvements over the year, but still has not displayed enough ability to be much more than an AHL bottom 6 guy in my opinion. I'm not certain why he would transfer from a program where he had a chance to play a top 6 role, because I can't see him on a top 6 for most NCAA teams.
No one has signed Matt Galajda yet. I wonder if he's option B for teams that miss out on Dryden McKay.

I'd expect Gritsyuk to be 3 ahead of Mukhamdullin at this point. I'd also have expected Daws to be fourth on the list given his relatively solid NHL showing for a young first year pro.The Hockey News Future Watch available on Zinio ($3 through the app, $6 through the website). Odd thing is that they only surveyed six scouts for their list this year. I remember back in 2008, they used to have 20+. For your tire pumping needs, they have Hughes (#10), Holtz (#13), Mukhamadullin (#50). Stillman (#87), Foote (#97).
Polling was conducted by having six scouts return a list of their top 60 prospects league wide. Then the top 10 is provided by the team / beat reporter. In past years, we've seen a team purposely leave an unsigned prospect unranked (Islanders with Casey Cizikas / Kevin Poulin) for PR reasons. So don't be up in arms about Gritsyuk not being listed, sometimes a team doesn't want to give a player's agent too much leverage. Our top 10 in the magazine:
1. Hughes
2. Holtz
3. Mukhamadullin
4. Stillman
5. Foote
6. Bahl
7. Daws
8. Schmid
9. Malek
10. Clarke

Great Value Red LobsterIt’s what you call something when you don’t want to use the official name. “I went to a seafood place last night. Let’s call it ‘Reed Lebster’”
Coincidence the way #5 and #6 are ranked? I think notThe Hockey News Future Watch available on Zinio ($3 through the app, $6 through the website). I think they did away with that stuff, but I could be wrong.Since he is transferring, is there some NCAA regulation requiring him to sit out a season or something? I don't follow college football that closely, but I seem to remember something like that for their transfers.

All players are now given the ability for a one-time transfer, without the requirement of having to sit out one season.Since he is transferring, is there some NCAA regulation requiring him to sit out a season or something?
