Turcotte's first 8 AHL games he had 0 goals 1 assist and a -3.
Would you be shocked if I told you he had a similarly slow start to his College career?Turcotte's first 8 AHL games he had 0 goals 1 assist and a -3.

His style of play doesn’t led itself to being an instant producer when he jumps up a level of competition, although it does make him a “safe” player while making those adjustments.
Turcotte is going to be just fine. Give it time.
DD8's contract is going to be a horrendous anchor sooner than later. It's obvious his injury this season isn't being helped by 24+ minutes a night. A huge amount of heavy miles are in that 32 year old, and the miles keep getting added at an obnoxious rate. TM has got to see pulling the reins in and lowering his minutes to 20 max, otherwise he'll be a shell of what he showed last night.
Now is the time to get Chycrhun. He checks every f***ing box, and Maata's shit play was on full display yesterday.
Yes to JAD. I was not big on the Tkachev signing. I would rather see Vilardi get another shot.
I give you, Sean Durzi. It is very debatable, but if you don't produce in the AHL, I believe you won't produce in the NHL. We can tell who these prospects are and which ones will need a shorter time to get there.
Don't look now but Kopitar leads the team at -6. On the flip side, Danault is +13, Roy is +12 and Anderson is +11.
My biggest issue right now is that Todd really needs to start rewarding players more for results. I don't care about salaries, pecking order, etc.. It's absolutely ridiculous that this team is so bad on the PP and we would have several more wins if it was middle of the road.
And yet, here we are this season where Doughty not only looks much more like his old self, he’s actually putting up some of the best numbers of his career, period. Doughty’s career-high in points is 60 back in 2017-18. This year he has 20 in 21 games. At five-on-five, his 56 percent expected goals rate and 58 percent actual goals rate would both be career highs. Relative to teammates the Kings are 0.39 expected goals per 60 better with Doughty on the ice and 0.59 actual goals better. Again, both career highs. All in all, Doughty has been worth 0.9 wins according to GSVA, an 82-game pace of 3.5 wins. His career-high is 3.3 wins back in 2009-10. That’s undoubtedly Team Canada calibre and since December 9 (after settling in from a return from injury), Doughty has been even better, posting a 64 percent expected goals rate since.
I give you, Sean Durzi.
His offense is good but its his defense thats weaker this yearI know Doughty hasn't been great the past two games, but here's some great stuff on his resurgence this season and what it's meant for the Kings. I'm just hoping that the Kings being in contention for a playoff spot is enough to keep him motivated now that the NHL isn't going to the Olympics. It'd be nice to get a World Cup of Hockey announced soon for players to look forward to...
16 Stats: Doughty's dominance, Panthers purring, and actual All-Stars
We don’t have a “second unit”. We have “the unit that gets shit done” with Durzi, and “the clown unit” with Kopitar and Doughty that gets 80% of the pp time because Todd is a f***whack.the second PP unit has looked alot better the last few weeks.
I would go:
Durzi at the top
Doughty and Kopitar on the side boards.
Brown in front
Kempe as the guy they either use down below the goal or high slot.
Ideally would have Danault in Brown's spot but still need to save something for the second unit which would be him, Arvidsson, Kaliyev, Iafallo, and Roy.

May I suggest Lemieux in Brown's spot. He and Durzi seem to pair off and practice tipping point shots during warm ups.the second PP unit has looked alot better the last few weeks.

How when there is no else ready for those minutes. Blake needs to bring a guy who can shoulder some of the load.
I hate to say it again, but not putting Kaliyev on the first powerplay is the single biggest flop for this coach and staff this year. The kid is paying his dues busting his ass on a grinding line, reward him FFS.
