I had forgotten all about him until I saw his name the other day and marvelled at how quickly he went from a 7 goal-29 point defenceman with New Jersey to completely out of the league within 4 years.

They won't go 4-4, they are exposing Gardiner.

Aho, Teravainen, Trocheck, Svechnikov and Staal (NMC) means they can't go 4-4 anyway.

Unless there are trades/moves, Gardiner and 1 of Bean/Skjei are likely being exposed.

Canes legend! In all seriousness, I'm cheering for Hofmann to make the NHL as a Derek Ryan-esque story. A club in transition like Columbus is going through is the perfect spot for him.

Dahlen's had such a fascinatingly unconventional career, so far.

-Drafted by the Sens in the 2nd round in 2016
-Traded to the Canucks after a near point-per-game run in the Allsvenskan for Alex Burrows much to the delight of Canucks fans/consternation of Sens fans
-Is hyped like crazy by every corner of the Canucks media/blogosphere when he matches that level the next year,
-Comes to North America to much Canucks fanfare (IIRC a little disappointment that Vancouver doesn't give him a spot on the NHL roster) but then whispers come out that the Canucks are not happy with him.
-Dealt at the 2019 Trade Deadline for Linus Karlsson
-Despite an attempt by the Sharks to re-sign him, he returns to the Allsvenskan in 2019 and puts up incredible numbers (77 points in 51 games)
-Sharks try to re-sign him but he decides to return for one more season in an attempt to win the league championship
