Lots of these weird, seemingly one game signings for a lot of ECHL teams, they are really short on players.
And that's not even the most intriguing signing they made that day.

They signed Derek Ciminelli who describes himself as a commercial drone pilot/fitness trainer/kiteboarder/hockey player on Instagram.
No official stats aside from 4 games (no points) played in the FPHL (know as the FHL at that time) a decade ago. It look like he found more success as a roller hockey player.
This is actually so intriguing!
Looks like he plays men's league ice hockey in the same arena as the Everblades, so I wonder if he got to know some of the management or staff over the years, and was able to make a case when they needed replacements
Also spotted this guy tonight!
Mauldin played 36 NHL games (the last NHL action was in 10-11!) and is 39 years old.
I guess Columbus just signed F Justin Danforth to a 2-year extension.
Capfriendly has him at $975,000/per now.
