With the 12th pick in the 2022 NHL draft the LA Kings select …. (Insert yet another secondary piece)

Taylor must have left a hell of an impression on young Luc and Blake.

Can’t wait for the return of “can they go 7-2-1 in the final 10 to sneak into the wild card spot” posts the next two years, a throwback to a wonderful era.

Please help us Phil Anschutz. You’re our only hope.

I think people don't realize that being only built for the playoffs is not necessarily a good thing. You need to be built for both, Kings were lucky enough to be built very very very well for the playoffs for a short time.

Kings should be looking to be around the top of the league in the regular season. Not just barely getting into the playoffs. That shits pathetic.

And as a fan God damn I don't want another mediocre regular season team to watch. When the hell have was the last time the Kings actually performed really well during the regular season.

The cup runs were such a tease. Mediocre for the regular season and try for one month. Lame.

Wonder what the asking price for Alexander Romanov out of Montreal would be.

Very young LHD, mobile, that's physical. Not getting the ice-time in MTL.

That kid is a stud. The asking price would be way too high for us to make sense of it.

I would rather have a team which is extremely physical, and built for the playoffs.

The teams which play the heaviest games are still the ones qualifying for the playoffs and making deep runs.

The Kings are Charmin soft right now.

This is kind of strange to me

I am sure everyone has spoken to them.

Random team: What’s the asking price?
Buffalo: ( asking price)
Random team : ok thanks bye

they are good players but many teams are against the cap, don’t have whatever Buffalo wants, or have it but won’t part with it.
I looked at the Mercedes AMG convertible. It is a nice car and maybe worth the money, but my current car is fine and I can get another car for less that does almost everything that one does and not have to trade in my whole garage of stuff.

Rob Blake has somehow found a way to piss off the people like you and BigKing who want a heavier more physical team as well as people like me and Ziggy who favor a more skill based roster.

Hell of an accomplishment.

NHL Rumor Mill – June 17, 2021 | Spectors Hockey

The Kings seem the best fit in terms of cap space and tradeable assets. They’re also reportedly seeking two top-six forwards this summer. In my recent conversation with John Hoven of Mayor’s Manor, however, he said it’s believed they’re seeking established scorers around 27-years-old with two or three years remaining on their contracts. In other words, they want transitional players to buy more development time for their promising youngsters.

Bolts will be moving out some $$ and Killorn should be one of those (4.5 x 3 ) but he's turning 32 in a couple months, not sure if that would affect a decision, But there are teams that might have forwards to trade depending on their expansion draft list.

Killorn, Palat, Gourde, Neiderreiter, Coleman, and Vatrano are the guys I have my eyes on. I think there are other guys that'd fit the bill too but maybe aren't quite top 6 like Goodrow, Donskoi, and McGinn. All excellent middle 6 players who could play important roles in helping the younger guys transition to an NHL offense.

thing is you have to play fast and physical now. The teams left can muck it up, but also have pace.

The Kings Stanley Cup championship teams did not have blazing speed, but they did have some guys who could skate very well, and in the playoffs I think that's what it really takes is a mix on the roster.

We have no idea what is true and what isn’t. This would be the best player the Kings have traded for since Gretzky. Did people like Hoven or Hammond report on a potential Richards trade before it happened. Maybe they are keeping it closer to the vest.

As far as the other rumor. It sure seems like acquiring 27 year olds who won’t even be under contract when the Kings are potentially competing again is more a move to appease you know who.

The inmates are running the asylum again (can we still say that in 2021?)

When Blake and Luc are fired and the jobs are posted on indeed.com can the first prerequisite be that your jersey isn’t hanging from the rafters? Or will they just give Gretzky total control. I think he’s the last one left who hasn’t managed the team.

They would probably hang up if your asking about him. He should be on their untouchable list.
Eh?

Dude is riding pine and they got Guhle in the minors percolating.

If Blake wants this kid, straight up for Kempe and Bergevin wouldn’t think twice.

Another underachieving LA Kings forward with defense baked in, 24 years old, lights it up for Sweden every year like a superstar …

Easy phone call once their season wraps up.
