Was watching the Pat McAfee show this morning and they had on a Pittsburgh sports talk radio host, he mentioned Jake Guentzel as someone who could be on the move. (though he admitted it was speculation)

It makes some sense though, Hextall may feel the need to younger and they can't trade Sid, Gino or Letang.

Guentzel is only 26 and has been a consistent point producer for them. They’ll move Zucker and others well before they move a player like Guentzel.

Getting names right and not flubbing calls isn't a high bar.

Just the basics would be appreciated. I hadn't liked Faust for a while, but this year his call became a part of making the games hard to watch. I remember once when he ranted for 5 minutes of game play time not understanding why a penalty wasn't called on the other team even though the ref had raised his hand. Problem was, it was a puck knocked down with a high stick call. The whole play was very obvious and aftet the 5 minutes someone finally informed him, but the whole thing was just hard to watch. That situation combined with his story about Bjornfot telling him how to pronounce his name properly and Faust then deciding not to were my breaking points. Understanding the game, pronouncing names right are fundamentals.. We are not even talking about his timing being off, his personality being bland or any other subjective arguments, it's basic shit.

They can trade Gino. If they were not such rivals I think Gino for Kuznetsov as a basis makes sense.

No chance Guentzel is moved

They'd have to attach a draft pick (that they don't have) to get someone to take Zucker, the point as it would seem (IF they were looking to move somebody) would be to get 3-4 pieces for 1.

Just a thought.

I'd watch more Kings bits if it didn't revolve around random feel good pieces and pieces that were essentially stroking the shaft of the organization.

I said it before, I love soccer announcers because they call it like it is.

I would prefer Faust to be a Kings fan yes, but I'd I had the choice of the announcers not being under the Kings pay I'd prefer that more. I'd rather have brutally honest announcers than Homers

Of course the ratings dropped. If someone like me who used to record and watch every game since 1997-98 (VHS baby) has not moved on from DISH--even though I don't get Kings games for two seasons now--then what of the fair weather fan?

Granted, I use the app through my parent's DTV log-in but it's a pain in the ass unless you are watching live so there are times when I simply rely on Eric's account Twitter. Never would have imagined a scenario like that but here we are and, again, it just reinforces the notion that this is the most boring stretch of hockey the Kings have ever put out during my fandom.

Let's step back and look at this Pittsburgh
According to capfriendly, they are 1,164,872 over the cap next season with 6 RFAs to sign

Pittsburgh Penguins - CapFriendly - NHL Salary Caps

I don't know enough about their RFAs, but let's assume that each get a 1 million dollar raise. They are now 7,164,872 over the cap and they could probably use an upgrade in goal.

The expansion draft is going to save their ass, but also kick them in the balls. They have to protect Sid, Malkin, and Letang. They could lose an overpaid guy, but they are more likely to lose someone that they can't protect.

Something has to bend. Even if they retain, which is almost counterproductive at this point, I don't think Zucker has much value.

I don't know how easy Malkin would be to move with a flat cap. 9.5 mil and is a UFA after the next season? Not to mention his NMC.

Didn’t help that they went to sling, then wanted more money, left and went to Hulu, then left cause they wanted more money.
Bally Sports had a really rough start to their run. If it continues, wouldn't be surprised if the Kings move to another regional network, like the Dodgers did with SportsNet LA or Lakers and TWC. Wouldn't even mind LA going to Channel 13 KCOP, but I really don't know about the success/logistics of that. Though Sinclair purchased the Fox sports network, they do not own KCOP-13 as it is still under the newly incorporated FOX Corp.

Something for down the line that nobody but me is talking about lol. Studied Sport Business as a minor in college.
