Bon voyage, he'll always be a favorite of mine if for no other reason than we moved Amadio for him. I think Wolanin looked great at the World Championships, but then again so did Trevor Moore and he's on our fourth line. Realistically he would have made the roster if not for the Edler signing, but at the end of the day it doesn't matter too much.

I feel like 95% of your posts are the same.
It means he tested positive or had a high risk close contact with someone that did.
I'm leaning to exposure to someone that tested positive. My opinion based on the wording.

Wolanin isn’t a catastrophic loss but Maatta here in his place is poor asset management and an example of what I said would piss me off in the preseason.

It wasn't hard to figure out Wolanin was headed back East especially with the injury to Jokiharju! Plus the Sabres have some youngsters on Defense(Powers,Samuelsson,Johnson if he signs and C Fitzgerald) about to break into the NHL line up but not yet not yet!!!

Maatta is that D-man that plays when injuries pile up and can spell off Edler every now and again. He'll be gone in a trade at some point or the Kings let him walk at seasons end

Once everyone comes back maybe another King or two will be elsewhere! And yes it is encouraging that youngster Kupari gets the nod

Lets wait and see what Tkachev and can do over the course of the whole season. Perhaps he gets more than 3.0 M AAV
When your 4th line is Moore-Lizotte-Kupari and they might have to go up against Greenway-Hartman-Foligno, its a fair take.

Or they don’t want to chance losing Wagner for a single game call up to waivers which is probably more reasonable

Yes he did, before teams like Vegas lost Stone and Patches or other teams realized there roster has holes.
Wagner is better than a few NHL players out there.
Can he even be claimed if they brought him up and sent him back down? I think once they clear they don't have to clear again until they play 10 NHL games or something like that.

If that is the case then certainly Kupari is passing Wagner up. I just don’t see how he outplays Wags in a 4th line role.

I did find this, but it appears they don’t deem this situation an Emergency
In case of emergency due to injury of players on your NHL roster a team is allowed to recall players on what is termed an emergency basis.
If your team falls below twelve forwards, six defensemen, or two goalies due to injuries on the NHL team they are allowed to call up a player to the NHL team. The player who is being recalled will be considered waiver exempt for the first 10 games of the recall. This means that they can be sent back to the minors without being subjected to waivers

No, Wagner cannot be claimed. Since Wagner has cleared waivers he can be brought up for 30 days onto the NHL roster or 10 games before he'd have to clear waivers to be sent down. Kings brought up Kupari over Wagner on merit.

I think Vilardi’s line needs a player more similar to Andersson to make it tick. I want to see Moore, Kupari, or Grundstrom in Kaliyev’s spot.

I’d never recall Wagner, because I don’t see the point. At this point the prospects need exposure in the NHL, even if it’s the odd game here and there. It needs to be about the long game now, getting these guys ready for full time NHL action.

This. Wagner can be recalled and demoted several times now really before he'd need to clear again if it was just for a game or two here and there.

I also completely forgot about Frk, who had 2 goals in the Reign game last night. He had great chemistry with Vilardi before Gabe developed even better chemistry with Andersson. It'd be tough to call him up and then lose him when we send him back down though.

Perhaps we ought to move Iafallo onto Vilardi's line to get them going? That line needs someone to forecheck hard and retrieve pucks and until Andersson is back, Iafallo's a good option.
Hard to find top nine spots for both Kaliyev and Kupari right now, so stick one of them with Danault and call it a day.
And get Lemieux into the lineup ASAP!

Iafallo - Vilardi - Tkachev
Lemieux - JAD - Moore
