I give it a 70% chance they end up with a D-zone start against the Matthew’s line.Maatta - Durzi.

Ya know, because reasons.

Odds are they'll have to wait that long. If the Kings remain relatively close, they're not going to tank. There aren't that many trades these days anyway.

You called it, looks like. Brown killed Kupari.
just...kind of infuriating. I guess Lias is the next on the chopping block to get Brown-pilled.
didn't Clague and Durzi play together in Ontario? Why would that not be the third pair? What's a maata with TM
I assume whenever Byfield is due back -which should be soon right?- someone is getting traded. We already have a pretty deep pool to pull from upfront and there's not much good to sending someone else down just due to congestion in the minors and that guys like Kaliyev and Kupari should stay up in my opinion.
While I'm not a Maatta fan either, it's normal to pair a kid with a vet. Clague and Durzi have a combined 33 games of NHL experience.

If a trade happens it cant be a 1 for 1 as the logjam will continue. It will either be for picks which isn't very sexy but a 2 player and pick for a better than average player would be huge.
I don't think dealing AA is a signal of tanking. LA has a lot of forwards they can move in and out.
agreed 2 for 1 is what I would be looking for if I was in Blake's shoes.
However Picks are stull very valuable imo, I would want 2 or 3 drafts out as I would be looking to use those picks as capital down the road.
If anyone was curious what the Kings are like when both Maatta and Brown are on the ice. Not fun.

It was supposed to be an optional skate. So probably nothing, but we'll find out soon enough.Sounds like 1 player could be entering covid protocol, per a tweet by DB. AA and Brown are both off the ice today.
