I don't think there is any way a claim is made, but weirder things have happened. I will say that if it was later in the year and the Kings were in a playoff spot, it would be far more likely.

Nah. Kaliyev likely going back for a while, I sincerely doubt the Kings pick up Clifford, he is redundant.

I am a believer in Lemieux, I think he is much more than a goon tough guy. The kid can play. In fact I wouldn't mind he moves up to take Grundstrom's spot on the 3rd line.

Can Clifford be had for free and be added on the 4th line? It leaves Grundstrom + available for trade to fill another hole.

It's things to consider before we hit the big teams coming down the stretch. Andersson, Lemieux and Clifford at least gives us some snarl without sacrificing defense. Lemieux goes down right now and we are buttery soft.

I’m meant more of the key tandems…
Iafallo and Danault have shown they can play with anyone at a high level…
Lemieux and Lizotte have brought much needed energy, tenacity and toughness

Hopefully they put him back with Frk so he can regain some confidence/chemistry. Give him a ton of minutes. That team is stacked. We're a little lighter defensively, but gotta be proud of what the new guys have done down there. Spence is a keeper.

Fits the offensive D we lack (especially with Walker out for the season) and has turned his game around considerably.
