If he wasn’t a vocal player he wouldn’t be the captain of the team.
Yes he primarily leads by example but he’s definitely vocal. You can’t sit there quietly if you have the C on your chest. That doesn’t happen.
ROR is the textbook example of what you want in a captain. He's competitive as hell and never takes a shift off. I've heard numerous players say in interviews that ROR will run his own drills after practice and a lot of guys stick around to participate. Landeskog said he used to do it in his Colorado days, how he'll give guys little tips to help them improve their game. It's like having a player/coach on the team.
Considering what we've heard about his parents and the kind of people they are, it's no surprise that ROR has turned into a great leader and person in general.
