I have minor dyslexia, trust me, I get it. LolYou're right, my mistake. I swear I read two-years for Walker somewhere.

That fine.I really think you are going way overboard on this
Perron just made 10,000,000 dollars over the next two years, he is not hurting
St Louis fans will love him no matter what
DA, agree with him or not on any specific move, is going to try and do his best for the Blues franchise, and has to view it from the lens of the next season, plus seasons beyond and sentimentalism is fine, but only if it doesn't have a negative impact on the team now and in the future
Domo arigato misuta RobottoThat fine.
Robots for DA. I'm with the humans.
There is a difference. Backes played a style that doesn't age well at all and wanted 5 years @ $6M per year. Perron wanted 2 years @ $4.75M, and plays a style that will age better. Pietrangelo wanted cap breaking money and 7-8 years. Big differences.
It's not a loyalty issue, its a roster construction issue. Perron at $4.75 for 2 years is tremendous cap value. He is a goal scorer and near point per game. I don't think he'll regress much due to his style. That is extremely valuable on a team that needs to rely on depth due to lack of game breaking talent.
Barbeshev and Schenn can play both center and wing so you have some flexibility there.Top six looks solid. Third line of Barbashev-Schenn-Neighbours. Then build a fourth line and some depth.
Neighbors-Schenn-Kyrou would have looked much better had we resigned Perron.Top six looks solid. Third line of Barbashev-Schenn-Neighbours. Then build a fourth line and some depth.
Not really. He's one where the negotiation could be a bit tougher. Army can point at times when he struggled and argue his deal should be 1M or less, and Mikkola can point towards times in the season where he was pretty good on the 2nd/Parayko pair. The difference between 1M and 1.5M can seem small, but when close to the cap it's significant.Anyone else starting to read something into the fact that Mikkola still hasn't signed? I get that Kostin is a KHL risk and Todd is just an AHL guy, but the team has brought in a lot of AHL/NHL tweeners in the last couple of days and I'm beginning to wonder if maybe they're either looking at a longer term deal with him and that's why it is taking longer or if he's being held back because they anticipate him being part of a trade package.
I am a bit on both Mikkola and Kostin. They might not like their chances at playing time with who is in front of them. Its probably less about money and more about promises they won't go to the AHL. I doubt we are going long term on Mikkola. He had a short leash this year. His ice time would plummet after bad plays and Leddy hurt his ice time. With Perunovich possibly pushing for time, he has to be worried about being the odd man out.Anyone else starting to read something into the fact that Mikkola still hasn't signed? I’ve seen him play in person quite a bit living in LA, so I like this as a depth move.
If he gets playing time with us, he needs to be on the 2nd PP unit. He doesn’t do too much at an NHL level, but that shot is absolutely disgusting.
Maybe a little but not really. Mikkola is arbitration eligible so he has additional leverage. As others have said, he probably wants a little more than Army wants to give and likely also wants to make sure he’ll be in the NHL and not AHL.Anyone else starting to read something into the fact that Mikkola still hasn't signed? Frk if I know.where the hell are the vowels?
There still has to be a depth RHD signing coming as injury insurance and because Borts doesn't play full time.
And Bortz for now. Currently have 8.Perunovich has played on the right side, and I think that he will be in and out of the line up with Mikkola.
