Kings do not have elite goalie on the team now and until they will get one, they cannot win anything.Peterson is not good and no ones gonna convince me otherwise…
Can someone remind me what Cal Peterson did to deserve 5 mil a year?
Just because you paint by the numbers doesn’t mean you’re making art. He's never been this bad.
Quick couldn't be traded(age and contract), and either Campbell or Petersen had to go, and Petersen is 3 years younger. The idea behind it being, you're hoping to get more over time than what you paid for today.
It's the same thing that happened with Brown. He signed his current deal in July 2013, but still had a year left on his previous contract. Then he disappears offensively in 13-14, only to have his new contract kick in for 14-15, and we don't see anything out of Brown until 17-18.
Brown had proven more when he got his contract. Cal had 1 decent season basically….He's never been this bad.

That doesn’t change the fact that he hadn’t shown anything to prove that he’d be a number one goalie. A good amount of fans thought it was a good contract. That was scary a handful of us thought that it was undeserving and it’s showingHe's never been this bad.
