Wow, that's great Jones made the team!

Yeah, great news! Stiff competition.

I saw that he started the last pre-tournament game and for pretty excited. They don’t have much time to play together th e team and won’t give someone a game just to get a shot to prove themselves. He was on the inside looking out.

Regardless of how they ultimately play in the tournament, the US almost always brings a group of really strong defensemen on paper. Blue chip prospects.

The fact that Jones made it is really impressive. He might play on the third pair, but it didn’t even really seem like he was on the cusp this whole time. His play this season did the talking.

The only surprise in all of this for me was Henriksson, but I'm glad he made it. I don't know if he'll play with the Wonder Twins, but if he does, excellent. If not, it will just be good experience for next year.

First year I'm head over heals for this tournament. Germany's first time appearance (*edit: ok, apparently not the first time, anyhow, lotta prospects!), looking for some surprises. :D

Quick question.... when was the last time we had a NYR draft pick playing on the Canada WJC team? I honestly don't remember. Can't be Duclair, can it?

Is York hurt that he’s the 7th d? And turcotte & zegras both playing wing?

Really strange forward lines, Jones and Emberson could be really good together

Jones playing ahead of York would be huge. One was a 1st rounder and the other a 3rd.

Oddly enough a lot of people compared the two around here. Hoping for a nice tourney from him and Miller. Could be the future on our left side for years to come

Yeah if you don’t count howden then it’s duclair in 2015. Not really surprising though given our lack of 1st and 2nd rounders. Before Robertson this year the last Canadian we took in the top 2 rounds was gropp.

We’ve made chances to our western Canadian scouting staff though so hopefully Robertson is the start of a trend to change that
