Well i guess Tampa should of finished off the Islanders quicker instead of playing with their food.

They won in 6 against a great team with the best coach in the league with their top two centers injured.

I don’t really think the schedule should punish you for playing a 6 or 7 game series against a great team. The team that wins in 5 should get more rest, yeah, but the other team shouldn’t be punished for it with this awful scheduling.

Stars are without their #1 Goalie and their top 4 D as well.

Dobby had a great series against VGK but the first two rounds he wasn’t as spectacular. Who knows if he’ll keep it up in the finals. Big advantage for TB in that department.

Both teams are dealing with their fair share of injuries, it’s pretty dumb to start pointing out who’s more injured etc. It’s the playoffs, you win the Cup by the depth that steps up when your team faces injuries. Injuries is a pretty lame excuse unless the opposing team has no injuries or very minimal, which isn’t the case in this finals.
Bishop and #1 are not things that i think goes together. Dobby will lead us to the promise land far before i feel Bishop ever will.

Well the league is driven off TV ratings right now and with Football season among us they want this SCF over and done with.

are you forgetting Bishop’s unreal run last playoffs? He was a stone wall, as well as every season he’s played.

Not sure if you’re being sarcastic here lol

I wish i could forget his regular season. Last season was last season and hell Ovechkin was a PPG player but not this year. I was stoked when we got Bishop until he spent more time on the IR than in net it seemed. Bishop can't stop a f***ing beach ball right now to save his life, he is the king of softies and he puts his team in a hole in the first couple minutes of nearly every game he plays in by giving up at least 1 goal early. Look i want him to succeed i really do but right now this team is with Dobby and if Dallas wins the cup i would not be shocked if Dobby becomes the starter next season.

I'll say Dallas surprises TB a bit and wins the first game or two, but the Bolts come back with 4 straight to take it home.

I agree with you for the most part. From an entertainment perspective, I always hope for best on best.

Tampas top 2 centers and their 2nd best winger are really banged up.
I think Tampa is in worse shape physically.

They also have much better forwards, so even with injuries, they're a level above the Stars.

The only area where the Stars match (or come close to matching) the Lightning is in defensive depth and how goaltending has performed in the playoffs so far.

this is why i love debates with fellow Stars fan. Everyone has their own perspectives and makes for good discussions.

i don’t agree with you but I can also understand your thought process 100%.

you do realize the Stats are pretty banged up too? Segs, Hintz, Faks (still out) It’s not just the TBL.

that’s our top 3 centers

We're in the same shape. Point, Stamkos, Cirelli.

Point played last game but he was in pain, and seemed to fade as the game went on. There's no way he would play in that shape if it weren't a big game.

Cirelli actually looks like he's getting healthy... or so he did, until taking the accidental knee on knee. He stayed in the game and got the winner, but I'm not sure how serious that one is.

Stamkos... well...

Ya it’s unfortunate. Like someone mentioned earlier, in the ideal world you want both teams healthy to enjoy the best quality hockey possible and when Team X beats Team Y, they can say it was a good battle and there’s no “well our team was hurt” etc.

here’s to hoping there’s no more injuries from here on out.

Every cup winning team can look back at the run later and say, man, did a lot of things go right for us that year.

Dallas is that team, especially if the Bolts get more hurt in the finals and guys like Point and Cirelli go down permanently. Stars can throw their weight around to try and make sure that happens.

Schedule is pretty tight. Knew that they would not play any Sunday games, but man, Sat, Mon, Wed, Fri then it is Sat, Mon, Wed.

Figured they would skip Friday and do game 4 on Sat. Then do games 5-7 if needed on Mon, Wed, Fri.

Schedule on NHL.com shows they have changed the back to back--wasn't it scheduled for earlier?

I have to admit that it's been difficult to get a grip of the Stars, in some of the games you wonder how they managed to pull off a win.

But with that said, their defense is looking really strong and Khudobin was like a wall against Vegas. Finding ways to win is a strength on it's own and it's a team who fight until the bitter end.

We will have to play at our best to stand a chance, will definitely be a tough series and in no way easy! Wouldn't be surprised if it goes to seven games.

I hope playing Columbus and Islanders will help us in the finals, in many of those games it's been a tough grind trying to find goals.
