We already are. At least Luc can't jinx it [if you believe in that] this year. He's proven he's not lucky at all when it comes to drafts.

Thankfully we don't have to see that look of rejection, again.

The dumbest thing about this event is that we could all be wasting our time tuning in to learn that we'll have to wait yet again for an undetermined date for yet another lottery.

Expect a shitshow on Friday.

A pick all Kings fans fondly remember.

To make matters worse, the Kings gave up a 1st and a 2nd to move up to 15. Those players ended up being Nick Bjugstad and Jason Zucker.

Ottawa also foolishly gave up their 1st round pick to the Blues for David Rundblad, who appeared in 24 games with the Sens. That pick came right after the Kings selected Forbort. I won't type out who that player was to save us from further anguish.

Im confused, are you talking about the lottery or the prospects?

:jk:

Last year at the draft, the NHL had a film crew out and they asked me "Hughes or Kakko?" At some point I pointed out that Kakko was more physically mature so he might be closer to his physical peak whereas Hughes was still growing into his body.

As soon as the camera cut, I lamented "Hopefully talking about an 18 year old growing into his body didn't come off creepy" which got a laugh from the interviewer. Thankfully they didn't use any of my spiel for their eventual YouTube video.

I’m hoping luck is finally on our side considering we have never picked first overall . But let’s say we get 2nd or 3rd pick , do we go with Byfield or Stutzle ? I’m not sure which one of these two scare me more about busting . This is a little unpredictable year for me as far as prospects go . I want a home run pick

If you want a home run pick and want to swing for the fences, Stutzle is the most talented and creative player in the draft after Lafreniere.

I'd say the Kings are due for some lottery luck but unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Still, roughly 1/5 for picking top 2 or 1/3 for top 4 isn't bad. Not great, not terrible. I'm gonna be real sad if the Kings have to pick 7th though.
