That is actually a pretty good draft... isnt mercer seen as a top 15 pick in a lot of drafts? If we got Drysdale at 6... id hope to pick up 2 forwards with upside at 27/36

I think this is pretty realistic even and it would be nice to see an Austrian get drafted by the Ducks. Of course, I would primarily hope that the Austrian would be Rossi, but I do expect Ducks to take a defender at 6th, either Drysdale or Sanderson and I like Drysdale better so I would be content. Dawson Mercer at 27th would be a steal and there's a lot to like in Mavrik Bourque's game. Also, they both have cool names. I don't know much about Benning or Dufour. Based on little reading I think that Benning would be a gamble, but he has been compared to Makar, which is nice. Dufour is a power forward and thus he fits in Anaheim. Nickl is solid, a bit of a project with medium reward. Rindell was amazing last season and has continued where he left off. I have mentioned him before that I think he's an overager Anaheim should be all over.

I honestly expect that at least one of those guys will be a Duck.

It does seem like Drysdale is the concensus pick from the mocks I'v seen. I think he will be good for the team even tho we need high end forwards.

Buttons mock had us taking Sanderson. Looking at the picks though I think Buttons mock is more his rankings than anything though.

Yea I dont see us taking Sanderson when we have so many LD and Lindholm and Fowler. I do get the feeling everyone thinks we are taking defenders as they think we need them more than forwards.

Yeah I guess right now LD isn’t a need but in 2-3 years when they’re ready to contribute who knows how good Fowler will be and if Lindholm has re-signed or not.

If Raymond falls to 6 I am taking him without hesitation from a pure skill stand point he may be tops in the draft.

I think Ottawa has to think about taking Askarov 5th or trade down. They're going to get their franchise center, they have a franchise D, seems logical they would target a franchise goalie to me

He played as a winger in his draft year but was a C before that and projects as a C. Its the same situation as Zegras was in.

Draft reports I've read have stutzle as a C. Haven't watched him play, just going off a few reports.

For a guy who's usually rated somewhere between rounds 4-6, he's had a pretty good debut in Finland's elite league -- nothing too fancy, but he doesn't look out of place either. It's only 2 games, granted, but that might be enough to push him into the 3rd round discussion...

Yup I keep saying he's the kind of player I think the Ducks covet. I think he may be one of the main reasons they were putting out feelers to move back. But that looks like a much riskier move now so we'll see, wouldnt surprise me if he goes 6

Yeah Lundell is benefitting greatly from getting games in before the draft he looks real good.

In June there is no way he would go top 5 but it's not crazy to say it. I could see Detroit taking him I think hes in play for Anaheim too
