I hate to be Mr. Negative but Logan Brown might be on the trade block sooner than later if he doesn't show progress this year. There are others that are ahead of him already.

Id say your Mr.Realist. He’s got one more season to show if he has it. If he fails he’ll be part of a package to bring in decent veterans to the team. Here’s hoping we’re wrong.

He should be on the trade block if he doesn't show progress in 2020/21, but he absolutely shouldn't be on the block right now. Has had two very good first AHL seasons and is on track to develop into a top 6 center. Just needs a bit more time and needs to stay healthy.

Absolutely no reason to trade him now. Could blow up in our face badly like trading Zibanejad did.

LA should just come out and say who they're drafting at #2, no need to drag out the speculation for the next 3+ months. They have their pick of anyone not named Lafreniere so it's not like they need to play mind games to get the player they want a la Brian Burke at the Kadri/Cowen draft.

I would not announce any name if I were the LAK GM.

Whoever wins the number 1 pick could take Byfield if they project him to be the better player and have a need for a center.

I think our pick really helps Brown, at the end of the day he was the only prospect we could peg into the 1C spot.

Byfield or Stutzle puts him in the 2-3C spot where he will be against lesser competition and should be able to put up some points and dish it out to wingers for great secondary scoring. Hes a project, and this does wonders for his development.

Byfield
Norris
Brown

As your top 3 is pretty sexy potential. Really good mix of size skill and two way ability

Anyone else think we should go full German on this draft? If Stutzle falls to us, we should try and get Reichel and Peterka as well. Not using our firsts for Reichel and Peterka of course.

Seriously, they have absolutely nothing to gain and only something to lose. No idea why someone would think they'd have a rational reason to come out and do that.

Dont think that'll be a possibility Reichel is ranked 20 on Bobs list and Peterka 23.

Both likely going in the first.

Reichel would be a good target for the NYI 1st. Big fan of him. Very smart player that has more skill than people think.

I suspect that if there is a player that Dorion likes that he is willing to spend a 2nd round draft pick plus the NYI pick to move up for, he will do so at the draft if he can find another team willing to make the trade.

Some players who might be tempting would be: Askarov, Lundell, Guhle, and Lapierre. I would like to see the Senators get Lapierre for the high ceiling he has

I just gotta say we go strong on Lafreniere and put together a good package. We have prospects, draft capital and cap space to get Lafreniere.

#5 pick plus whatever else we need to throw in.
The 3th for sure +

So just to clarify, is this your top 5 or what you believe the Sens have as their top 5? You've had a couple of cheeky/teaser posts this week, so I want to be sure. Thanks!
Dorion said there are two players in a tier by themselves after Lafreniere. Zero chance that’s Rossi.
