I think Trevor returns to Clemson for another year.
That would be absolutely idiotic for him to do. The risk is enormous. If he doesn't want to play for the Jets, that's totally understandable, but he should just take a year off and train, host intermittent workouts, whatever. But to play would be crazy.

or he can just pull an eli and force the jets to trade him

Sure, or that. Just anything but going back to play a full slate of games. You suffer a Theismann or a Pennington and you cost yourself guaranteed millions, maybe tens of millions. And that's just on the upfront guarantee.

This is why his coach thinks he's going pro and the execs in that article I posted earlier think him declaring is basically a certainty.

last time the jets started 0-8 that was the 1-15 season in 1996 under rich kotitte...also the year peyton decided to stay in school another year lol

Vikings and Bengals get win number 2.

Need the Giants to stop blowing it. Jacksonville and Houston play each other next week which is helpful.

Though honestly at this point it's hard to see the Jets even lucking their way into a win.

It's really just the Jags, they are going 1-15 I think. Mike Glennon is probably going to ne named the starter haha. I think the Giants will win 1 of their games vs Bengals, WFT, Dallas Or Philly.

He apparently was interviewing agents and marketing people already so I think he's basically done with college at the end of the year. Again whether that means he ends up with NYJ or not, who knows, but it seems incredibly unlikely he plays a college football game after this season.

Be ashame for Trevor if he end up with the NYJ. Can someone help me out and name the last great Jet quarterback?

Bengals just easily handled the Titans and blew big leads against solid teams the last few games. They probably beat the Giants by two+ scores.

I will take my chances with the Giants winning 1 of those 4 games, it doesn't have to be the Bengals game.

Good for Avery, solid player, solid return.

Hope he comes on with Joe and Evan one more time, was always a good sport with Joe.

Yeah and the Rams and Bears should have beaten the Giants by two+ scores. The Giants don't have trouble keeping games close. The only team that they lost to by a lot were the Niners. They also lost to the only undefeated team in the NFL by 10, everything else was within one score. This take is baseless.

I'm generally not a fan of the "Team X beat Team Y by 20 points, and Team A lost to Team Y, so therefore Team A will lose easily to Team X"-type logic. It doesn't seem to work that way, in practice.

I'm saying the Bengals will win that game comfortably because they appear to be trending upward more than they'll win it because they beat x team. I understand and completely agree the fallacy of "team y beat x, so team y will beat team z". Cincy improved noticeably as the season has gone on. I think they could have a winning record from this point on (not for the whole season).

As for @SnowblindNYR, Rams/Bears are paper tigers whose lack of offense keeps every game they're in close. When the Rams had to start playing non-NFC east teams they've folded.

As much as I've ragged on the Giants, I think they're also a team that will start trending up. Their OL should only get better.

Whether that's enough to win a couple of these games, I really can't say. Their D has performed admirably, but when you're stuck on the field nearly 2/3 of the game because your offense constantly turns it over or goes 3 and out, you're going to struggle to close games.

I thought they were a 4-win team before the season started, and revised that down to 3 once Saquon got hurt. Out of their remaining games, TB, SEA, ARI, and BAL are automatic losses. I give them a puncher's shot against PHI, CIN, and CLE and say they win one of those. Then they win one of the WSH and DAL games.

3-13. Get a talent in the draft and hope that Jones starts to get it in his 3rd pro season.

Those teams are still better than the Bengals.
