5 1 win teams left, but still have the following:

1-6 Giants vs 1-5-1 Bengals
1-6 Jags vs 1-6 Texans
1-6 Jags vs 1-5 Vikings
1-5-1 Bengals vs 1-6 Texans

I have a hard time imagining the Vikings/Texans wont pick up a few more wins. The Giants have winnable games too with their awful division + Cincy.

The Jaguars honestly might be a threat for the top pick. They are bad and they have a pretty rough schedule to close out the year.

I hate to have to agree with you but I do. Jags are going to be dangerous for either Jets or Giants to get #1 overall....very dangerous!

I already got the Jets scenario down pat as I have had going thru my mind for around a month. Here's the way I'm 98% positive it will play out:

Giants are 3-12 and they are done as far as any shot at #1 overall.

Jets will be 1-14 heading into final game of season vs the Patriots at Gillette, who are in midst of their worst season in 20 years as they are 7-8 with nothing to play for.

Jags will be 2-13 heading into their final game of season vs Colts who with a win, win the AFC south and get a home game in the playoffs. So they'll be very inspired to win this game vs pathetic Jagurs.

Jags hold tie breaker if by chance Jets and Jags end up with same w/l record based on SOS. So it's a pretty simple scenario Jets lose to a team they haven't beaten in Foxboro since the AFC playoffs in 2011 and all is good in the world.

Us Jet fans know better as we know good things just don't happen for us. So we all are nervous as shit that the hoodie who never in his coaching career rests his starters until maybe mid 3rd quarter, might try and screw with us and our quest for Trevor Lawrence and the #1 overall and rest most of the starters with the "excuse" that he wants to see how his 2nd and 3rd stringers react in a full game. The real reason is obvious...Belechik doesn't want to have to deal with Lawrence two times per year for the next decade and if he can troll the Jets at same time....all the better.

Game starts and just as we thought, the hoodie starts taking his starters out middle of 1st quarter. And while this is happening, Gase who is dead man walking and knows he's gone at end of year, in a last gasp effort to keep his job, puts together a brilliant game plan vs Pats 2nd and 3rd stringers, Darnold throws for 400 and 3 TD's...Perine goes for 100 and a TD and Jets blow out the Pats 41-17. Jet fans all across the metro area are cursing Gase out...cursing Belechik....cursing our fate that we were brought up Jets fans.

There is still a sliver of hope left tho you never know on "any given Sunday" goes the saying, the Jags could somehow beat the Colts and pull off a miracle. Well much to our surprise the football gods are teasing the shit out of us as the Jags defense has come to play and Mineshew pulls his porn mustache magic and has the Jags in FG position with seconds left down 19-17.

Jet Nation is crossing our fingers for the Jags kicker to make the easy simple 29 yard chip shot so that we get #1 overall.

So what happens? Pretty obvious what happens as we Jet fans all know and knew from the moment the snap was made. The kick which is right down the middle is blocked by Colts defender but ball has enough momentum anyways to be good. The ball however hits the cross bar and doinks forward as Jags lose giving them the #1 overall and Trevor Lawrence.

Oh and to make it even better for us here in Jet Nation, the Johnson's after the game, give Gase a 3-year extension till 2023 due to his brilliant offensive genius that was on display vs the Patriots.

I will be copying and pasting this to a word document and when this scenario I painted actually does happen....and it will, I'll break it out and copy and paste it for all of your enjoyment....lol...

As I said in a previous post...KC-41...Jets-3...Le'Veon 100+ and at least 1 TD...book it!.

Who do you think ends up with 1st?

Jets or Jags. Jets are in the poll position but it looks like Minshew is going to be out for some time now with an injury.

I still think the Giants, despite how bad they are, will win a couple more.

Other 1 win teams are the vikings who have too much talent, Texans who have no reason to tank b/c Miami owns their pick, and the Bengals who have Burrow who is damn good and has almost won them a few games (plus they play the Giants so one of them get another win)

Until I see the Jets show something, anything? I can’t give them a win over Bill B. The Jets are the team who lost to Brett Rypien on 3 days rest flying across country, and now we are going to give them one or two wins over a team who is a qb sneak away from winning in Seattle?

It would be helpful if the Jags do get a second win because they are the team I see going 1-15, and it would be nice to give the Jets some breathing room in case by some miraculous chance they wind up winning a game.

Like others have said the other one win teams just by having talent and/or common opponents vs other 1 win teams should get to at least two.

If the Jets end up with the #2 pick, you just know the Giants will end up with #1. The Jets are already the red-headed stepchild, it would just be perfect that they win a couple meaningless games, the future-HOF QB goes to the Giants, and the Jets draft some lineman who blows out his knee and is out of the league in five years.

From your mouth to God's ears.

Justin Fields would be the pick at that point. He and Lawrence are nearly neck in neck.

It will be legitimately shocking if the Jets win a single game. I think we have the 1st lock locked up. We can’t beat anyone.
Reminds me of this article:

10/9/20 – Florham Park, NJ. A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a courtroom drama today when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the New York Jets, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

ehhhh I think the Texans could win 4-5 games. they still have watson and a decent offense. they've had a pretty brutal schedule. and they have no incentive to tank, they don't even have their pick lmao

My post said I expect them to win more games! lol

but also yes its irrelevant for them specifically cause Miami has the pick.
