I knew the Habs would trade a bunch of their picks for future picks. Bergevin is desperate to have a fun draft in Montreal
Or maybe the Habs have had a ton of picks the last 3yrs and have had issues with contract limits so they're trying, smartly I might add, to stagger assets?

Which you would have hoped that they would try to trade a couple of them for 1 better one. Buildling through the draft is based on quality. If you can't rack 15 picks every year, transform those 15 in 7. By moving up while trading quantity.
