I think the Rangers would be very happy with Amirov.

Perrault is a guy whose talent should be on their radar, I just don't know if he's the guy they'd pick with some of the other names on the board.

Reichel could be on their radar --- they've followed Germany very closely in recent years, but have yet to take the plunge.

i would expect Reichel or Mysak if the rangers keep the pick.

Going through the Hockey Draft Black Book again---Oskar Magnusson almost sounds like a Swedish version of Sean Avery. They seem somewhat impressed by his trash talking prowess. Wouldn't be a bad guy for us to take.

I wonder if he trash talks like Avery or closer to Esa Tikkanen?

I wonder if he trash talks like Avery or closer to Esa Tikkanen?

The paragraph in question from the Black Book:

'While he racked up the points this season, he's more of a blue collared, hard-working player that isn't shy of playing a physical game. He skates well and can gain and maintain a high pace while being a pest to play against. He will trash talk everyone within reach and there are shifts in every game where he just skates around talking trash instead of focusing on playing hockey.'

The next paragraph:

'Even though he isn't the biggest guy out there, he does play with his heart on his sleeve and he will do whatever it takes to win or at least get an opportunity to win, no matter how far behind his team is in the game. This became apparent on several occasions this season as he played on a weak, unstructured team'.

They like how he skates and keeps his feet moving, how he goes to the dirty areas of the ice and how he battles. Other scouting reports talk about how diligent he is about his defensive responsibilities and that he's a very good penalty killer.

where does he rank prospect wise in the draft?

I think he's a late 3rd rounder at best and could I guess drop into the 5th. The Black Book has him at 108. Elite Prospects has him at 70. Future Considerations at 88 and McKeen's at 138. Steve (who sometimes posts here) at the Draft Analyst has him at 71.

I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for not typing "weary". Small thing, but it drives me crazy.

It's not nearly as bad as then/than.

Irregardless, I think it's a mute point.

"I could care less" is a close second, but the worst one is when people type "Could of"
The funny thing is, I think most people are actually thinking of "wary" rather than "leery" when they go with "weary."

Lolol, there's a lot to like. I do think that his offensive potential is a lot more questionable than some point out.

I think talent-wise he's in the later part of the top 10, maybe top 15. But seeing the teams in that top 10, needing defensemen and the lack of potential top defenders in the class, think he goes higher.

I'm a bit biased because he is phenomenal in the areas that I believe a defenseman needs to be good at these days + he has that offensive upside AND more bite in his game than he gets credit for.

I get visions of a more fleet footed Heiskanen and will be really mad if NJ snatches him up. Ottawa should be all over him with one of their top picks.

Esa was Finnish not Swedish--but we all get your point. If I remember correctly no one could understand Esa--so they probably would never know if he was talking trash. Esa speaking reminds me of that horrible movie Enemy Mine where Lou Gossett Jr is an alien and his words are like click clack click... I bet Esa knew more English then we all think.

Oh the years of Avery standing in front of Marty Brodeur waving his stick in his face--man I bet if Kenny Daneyko was still on the team he would wanted to kill Avery.

Haha I’ve not seen him but I can imagine that he is a bit of a Tikk-talker. He is from a city in the most southern part of Sweden that has a very thick accent. Being from Northern Sweden I really have to concentrate to hear how what those guys are saying, close to a different language...

All this spelling talk is gonna make me loose my mind.

O 31 don't want none of this talk between them me think your not gonna loose you're mind their just tryin impress there opinions too every body e.g. me and you should just except it their is alot more important things to worry about too look to much in to this i ensure you that

I sure hope Reichel is on their radar. If he is there at 22ish I would be quite happy with him being selected. Let him marinate 1-2 years in the DEL.

Can you imagine if we come away with Lafreniere and Reichel this draft. I still can't believe it.
I mean unless a center falls into the 20's that the Rangers love Lafreniere plus Reichel would be an A plus plus draft.
Trading up is always hard and it seems like most are not crazy about a realistic possibility like Zary.
And I am not sure I would take Khusnutdinov over Reichel.

Really hope we can grab this guy somewhere in the middle rounds. Imagine how confused Sam will get IF the kid makes it AND Sam is still working games when it happens.
I still think we were close to seeing the Lundqvist-Lundkvist-Lindqvist Rangers. Michael Lindqvist is one of the top SHL forwards, he just didn't want to ride the Hartford bus and we didn't have a spot giftwrapped for him

Would Holloday fall to early 20s? . Not tall but heavy C

Holloway is a good prospect but I think people are linking the Rangers to him mostly because he played with K'Andre last season. Depending on who's left on the board, I could see them take him
