"Coaches tell me who's best." You sure you want to ride or die with that?

This has nothing to do with Jones or Provy or anyone else. They're good players.
It's not that at all. There's a level of the game that certain players reach where they're relied on to play half of a game or more. Provy and Jones are at that level. Any Kings game you watch you feel like Doughty is always on the ice. The coach is out of the equation.

I'm confused, so please bear with me if I'm not making sense.

I understand that part of it is an individual feeling you get, but who would be making the decision to play someone that much if not a coaching staff?

From age 35-39, the years we have actual full data on him, Timonen was a force. Imagine what he was like in his prime? And he was actually good on the powerplay.

Before his draft I remember throwing out a Kimmo comp for Provy and people thought that was selling Provorov low! I thought that was a better case scenario outcome. Provy can do more with his feet, but Kimmo was just so steady and smart.

Actually, the comp I go with is Kimmo for York.
Not that big, not that fast, but highly efficient at both ends of the ice.

I might go with Ryan Suter for Provorov, never quite elite, but very good for a long career.

Whether he would be worth the cost aside.

Not sure I want to take a bet on our guy if it’s Fletcher vs Jarmo.

Maybe if they trade stamps or something.

Exactly what bad trades has Fletcher made as a Flyer GM?
The worst is a 2nd and 3rd for Braun, but with three inexperienced defensive starters Braun was a steadying influence.

I miss him :(

If something is a given then it doesn't matter who's behind the bench. Provy and Jones get their 25 minutes a night.

Ryan Suter has always been my go-to comparison for Provy. Durable, dependable, and steady as a rock.

Well, the only thing I can say is I completely disagree lol. But that's ok, we don't always have to agree.

Not only do I think he's a clear #1 defenseman, I think he's a top 10 defenseman in the league.
Buddy, Jones is not TOP10 defenseman. He is around TOP~18-30.

Overrated af.

His trades have been mostly around the margins for now. The Niskanen trade was great value. Other than that, they've been ok.

I'm curious about his trades when it's time to be bold.

And by curious, I mean scared shitless.
