He has been rumored since June

According to Rick Dhaliwal of TSN 1040 and The Athletic, the 27-year-old will be leaving Russia after all and is "being linked" to the Kings.

why won't this damn article link?

Maybe it is finally official

That was on June 3rd. On July 10th reports in the media was that the Kings deal was off. So who knows for now. He also allegedly had a 5 year handshake deal with CSKA.

No way i'm giving up next years 2021. I think we'll be better, but even so we could still be in bottom 7-10 and even win the lottery. Trade -- absolutely and i think they should seriously look into that. But i'm not giving up the 2021 pick. If this were one year later, then 2022 i would since I think that's when you see some real standings improvement by this team and we make the playoffs as a bottom seed.

Today, I learned that Trevor Lewis is #10 all time in games played for the Kings.

Common sense, but maybe rumors are about.

I can do this too!

Kings potentially looking to use their considerable draft capital and prospect depth to upgrade roster. May or may not happen. Stay tuned.

We should band together and pass off common sense as trade rumors.

So the Kings could either sign a player or trade for one. That’s truly some groundbreaking information that people should pay a premium for.

Love Bernstein, but who is going to give up a top 4 D for a 2nd round pick?

Martinez costs two 2nd rounders...

Offer sheet Sergachev.

What would a Sergachev offer sheet look like?

Is there a way we could acquire Sergachev without giving up next year's first round pick?

At minimum, it would be a 1st and a 3rd, and that compensation chart is based on revenues from 2018-19. I guess it remains to be seen if we see an adjustment for compensation levels for 2020.

Yeah, they haven't released compensation for this year I don't believe. Was just giving a frame of reference for discussion. While I think adding a few of our prospects as well as Sergachev will let the Kings sniff the playoffs, unless there was lottery protection, I would really hate to trade that first round pick.

Would taking back Palat and sending back some cheap roster players (Sean Walker? Alex Iafallo?) help in any way?

Only issue with signing a top 4 D is your putting walker or Roy's head on the chopping block for the Seattle expansion.

A top 4 D is not going to matter next year, resign Hutton for two years and he can also be the compulsory exposed defenceman. Send up Bjornfoot to partner drew, Hutton walker second pair then rotate clauge and Anderson throughout the lineup and get them an extended look and experience.

If LHD is still a need by the end of the season go out and trade for one then after the Seattle expansion.

What’s tricky is that so many of Tampa’s forwards are on NTCs, and they’ll probably look to move Tyler Johnson and/or Alex Killorn if they could. They need a lot of cap space to fit in the raises for Cirelli, Sergachev and Cernak.

Another team to keep an eye on this off-season will be Winnipeg.

The other issue is assuming Sergachev is interested in signing an offer sheet. After Montreal extended an offer sheet to Sebastian Aho, it got revealed that they approached Brayden Point first but he declined their overtures. Back in the day when the Devils were in cap hell, Brian Gionta mentioned that he turned down offer sheets while the Devils sorted out their issues.

I don’t see why Sergachev would want to sign with us, maybe if our youngsters were 2 seasons in but now they’re all just question marks. Plus it’d be embarrassing if we ended up in a San Jose situation with having like the 3rd overall pick but it’s not ours.

Is Sergachev better than a potential third overall pick? Probably. But still, I don’t think we should do that.

I have some inside information to pass along. Really deep tho. This might crash the servers.

The Kings are going to draft some players on 10/9 and 10/10
on 10/11 someone in the organization will pass gas, another will sneeze
