because this board is mehAA is so meh he doesn't even deserve his own thread!
Rumor has it Kings signed JF Berube.
AA sure has some glaring weaknesses, but he potted 30 goals just 1 season ago.
It's a gamble and he might not stick longer than the upcoming year, but I like this signing.
Kings can afford to be patient and develop him right. Some concerns about the WJC but I think most realize this tournament doesn’t define his whole career.

Hope he returns to that form - speed, driving the net and an incredible shot. Hope that drives the other players to better levels. He’ll be valuable just for the shootouts alone.
Hilarious!! Read this and laughed so hard wife asked me what's so funny. Took a couple minutes to explain in full. She hung in there...love that woman.Perhaps the best analogy I can think of for Athanasiou is he’s what happens in the NHL 2020 video game when you create a player with high stats (top 10 fastest player in the league, a hard shot, above average hands), but let him be played by your 7 year old Nephew.
Tools are there, but the game sense isn’t
Not invited to training camp:
Hults
Sodergran
Contracted players playing in the WJC, and not accounted for as invites yet or not:
Bjornfot
Spence
Turcotte
Kaliyev
Byfield
No non-contracted prospects invited, nor any PTOs.
Interesting jersey number selection for Tyler Madden. Not high enough IMO to designate temporary camp invite number, but maybe it is. I certainly don't see him making the Kings roster this season, but any significance to #37 for him?
Kings have second to last payroll.
